I have trying for over 18 month now after having an ectopic pregnancy and having one tube removed.
Had an lap and dye at begining of november thank godness other tube was ok acept some adhesions near ovaries which were sort during op. Have promised my husband I will relax a bit now, I got my period at the weekend a got upset but am go to start a fresh today. I have tried useing ovulex(herbal tablets) before but had no luck as tube had adhesions. Has anyone tried these before or had any experience before.
I had accupnture before but didnt find it very relaxing so might try reflexogy.

Hi,

Havent heard of ovulex im afraid but i am interested in your comment of accupuncture. I looked into that but it was £60 a session for my boyf and i and you need 2 - 3 sessions a month so thats waaaay past us at the moment. It is supposed to be able to heighten fertility, is that why you had it?

cedar12 · 18/12/2006 18:49

Sorry hadnt checked thread for ages, I had accupunture for this cost about £30 for 1hr ish. But I had it before my op so it turned out to be a bit pointless as I had some adhesesions. I didnt find it relaxing at though.

ceder12 - ovulex has agnus castus in it which i think is the main active ingredient. i have just started taking agnus castus too, but it apparently takes a few months to really kick in!
one of my friends swears by it and she got pg 3 times in a year! (2 mc's and twins!) so i guess it might work!

babylove123 · 18/12/2006 23:22

Agnus castus eh? Hmmm, think i'll be going to the healthfood shop 2morro!

cedar12 · 19/12/2006 08:24

I think go to the health food shop to later probabley cheaper than ovulex

my friend did have 2 miscarriages though when using it. not sure if they were in any way related, probably not, but it does worry me a bit.....having said that i am still taking it!

cedar12 · 19/12/2006 13:36

I think the miscarriages were probabley bad luck. Hopefully we will all have more luck in the new year.

I'll drink to that! (with my non-alcoholic drink tho!)

cedar12 · 19/12/2006 18:18

I am sure a few glasses of red wine to get you in the mood wouldnt do any harm!

cedar12 · 20/12/2006 08:40

greedyformincepies · 20/12/2006 11:56

you are BOTH better than me!......i live for my glass or two of wine each evening!!!!! could be the reason i am not getting pg hey!? its always red wine though, cos like you said ceder, its good for you!

babylove123 · 20/12/2006 17:40

You could change your name to "pickled" hehehe, joke!

I have been 2 afraid to drink! Its only the 2 weeks when you bleed that you really are safe to drink and i worry it'll affect my ov. My bf has been v good too coz he isnt drinking either! Esp when ov, he isnt allow

Cedar12 - I am sorry to hear that you have been through so much . It must be near impossible to relax about TTC and I can empathise with that, I find it really hard to relax not just about TTC (we've been trying for 7 cycles) but about everything! I have not tried ovulex but it sounds interesting. I have not had acupuncture, that's on my to try list too but I did have reflexology today for the first time. It was not as relaxing as Reiki and I don't really know if it energised me or not (that was the aim today). The woman who does it also does couples reflexology for TTC but it has to be with you both, I'm intrigued. That will be our Feb project if no luck till then! Hope you get your BFP soon.

Gosh, Babylove, I am impressed with the lack of booze, I'm like Greedy but am really trying to cut back. My new year's resolution is to only have a few glasses at the weekend and be dry all week but I know I'll find it hard, it's a bad habit.

Please be careful with the Agnus castus, apparently it can induce miscarriage and should only be taken on advice from someone qualified to give it. I don't know anything about it but I have heard the warnings so many times that I'd feel terrible if I did not alert you to potential issues.

babylove123 · 20/12/2006 23:01

I looked into accupuncture but its £60 a session and both of u need 3 a month! Eeek!

MrsMcClaus · 21/12/2006 08:41

Gosh Babylove, that is really expensive, the place I have heard of here in Edinburgh is £20/session and I think there is a cheaper rate for a block booking too.

cedar12 · 21/12/2006 15:34

When I had accupunture it cost £30 1 hr but that was just me not DH thanks for your advce about agnus catus will look into it more havent taken yet. Happy christmas everyone.
