Hi ladies I am new here so apologies if I don't abbreviate correctly Smile my husband and I are TTC our first baby and I'm finding it's taking over my whole life. I'm obsessed. We have been trying for 3 months now with no luck. I have been having bery heavy periods that's are prolonged. I have been having tests and I have a cyst on my ovary. I'm hoping this won't effect my chances to conceive. According to online calendars I should be ovulating next week so hoping I will fall then but am still bleeding from the 11th. Has anyone had the same problems and or has any tips on TTC. Thank you in advance X

Hi Baby40,

I'm TTC #1 and have been trying for 3 months as well! I've been using the Ovia app and the ClearBlue fertility monitor but haven't had any luck so far.

I hope we both get good news soon!

Good luck! I will have to download that app I have been using the sainsburys own ovulation a kit but haven't had a positive yet but think I have been doing them too easy in my cycle! X

I haven't had a positive either - lots of "high" oestrogen days but no positive LH surge to show peak days. I don't know why that's happening so I'm off to the doctors (in December!) to talk to him.

I know what you mean about it taking over your life - I never knew my basal body temperature or so much about body/hormonal changes!

I've just one another ovulation test and still negative ovia says I should be ovulating this week... Do you think I did a rest too early to show a positive :(

Hi. I'm also TTC baby no 1. Got a positive OPK over the weekend... After 22 days of negatives. Finally OV'd on cycle day 32! My cakes are still a mess after pill!

Are your cycles regular?

Moral of the story, keeping going until you get positive. If you are using LH sticks make sure you do them in afternoon.. LH doesn't build up in am. Hold wee for 3-4 hours before doing test. Also look for other signs. CM/temps etc. Good luck xx

Ok thank you so much for the advise. My periods are regular but just prolonged since coming off the pill I am seeing a specialist on Wednesday because they have been really heavy lots of clots etc sorry for the details! X
