Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Fear not viroids, in here!

lily ff chart, impressed :)
But that chart shows you have ovulated so I'm a bit confused by your post. When I did my d21 I waited for 3dpo when ff put those lovely red lines in and then booked in withnirse 4 days later.

Name: lil
Dcs: none but incubating a kumquat
TTC: 3yrs, Nov 12 pg after 1ivf mc from 2nd ivf cycle.

lollyb20 · 18/11/2015 12:54

Hi everyone are these BFP's??? Done 4 lol 3 days before af is due x

We are all a bit bonkers, worshipping the travelling womble conker, we rub the grad's bumps for luck and shag without scientific schmuck (Most of the time!) Its Just Shagging 56!
KeepTheHope · 18/11/2015 12:59

Lolly I can definitely see something, did the lines come up in the right timeframe? Exciting

LilyWhite2 · 18/11/2015 13:09

Lildottie I thought you had to have that 3 day temp rise after ovulation? Mine on 2dpo and 3dpo dips so I thought I was out for the month and it's just FF being dumb.

Yes, I did that last month when I thought I had oved (counted 6 days) and I was 5 days early. How disappointed was I when it wasnt IB :(

lollyb20 · 18/11/2015 13:11

Indeed they did, when the first one came up i was in shock nearly fell over lol x

corgi88 · 18/11/2015 13:16

How exciting lolly!
Still no AF (day 33) and Ovia is bossily telling me to test! After my 2bfns I'm scared though! Have had 35 day cycles before though so might wait till tomorrow to see if I can drink or not when my friend is round. Also thick sticky cm.

angelazul · 18/11/2015 13:22

Eek lolly I can see the line, so exciting, congratulations!!

Corgi keeping gx, hoping the witch isn't just playing games with you. Isn't think creamy cm a good sign though, or have i just made that up?

lildottie · 18/11/2015 13:29

lily I'd say its possible ff is wrong and you ovulated on cd28. If AF turned up early last month then you may have a LP defect (LP

KeepTheHope · 18/11/2015 13:47

Lolly how exciting, congrats!!

Corgi thick and sticky is definitely a good sign, I reckon it's time to obey Ovia - gx!

LilyWhite2 · 18/11/2015 14:23

Lildottie - Yep! I thought cd28 myself too shame we gave up bd cause I thought it was me done.

First glance I wouldn't say my LP is shorter than 14 days and the 32 days was a blip (last 32dc was in 2014) as I usually Avg at 36 day cycles.

Blah you're right I guess I can't tell on the LP unless I'm on constant temp/OPK watch for a few more cycles. Guess I'm buying more clearblue :(

Thank you, it's really appreciated as I'm completely out of my depth with this whole temp thing x

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2015 14:39

Lily don't bankrupt yourself with clearblue ovulation sticks. Amazon "one step ovulation test" and you should get about 30 for a few quid. They look like the pregnancy tests Lolly posted up thread, except green.

LilyWhite2 · 18/11/2015 15:00

Honeysucklejasmine - Oh will do in that case then, since July this is the first month I actually got a positive opk and that was on a CB but if those are good I'll get some.

The "Babymad" freebies I got were quite good too, just the cheapies I got of eBay weren't as strong as those two.

Thanks x

LondonGirl83 · 18/11/2015 16:38

Hi all! Sorry for joining the new Fred late:

Stats:

Name: London
Age: 32
TTC- Since August 2015 (preg September, MC in October)
DC- 0
Furbabbies- two giant ragdoll cats

So I'm calendar 9. As I'm an early icer, been shagging since AF stopped on Monday. Have a terrible headache but need to shag DH tonight.

Going to take an OPK as well-- I started testing on Monday but forgot this morning so will test tonight.

GX for everyone.

Lil how far along are you now (in non fruit terms cause I'm thick)!

oneyorkshirepud · 18/11/2015 17:30

Well done Lil, fab info as always.

Congrats Lolly!

Corgi it is up to you whether you test now or wait until after your latest AF arrival date, hope the witch isn't messing you around. If DH is home when your friend comes you can always do some stealth drinking - we got quite good at it and DH got quite pissed! I have everything crossed for you and have bought some tena lady because I am going to wee myself with excitement when you do get your bfp

justtheonethen · 18/11/2015 18:18

Congrats lolly

corgi very exciting!!! Gx for you.

Fucking af turned up, a day early. I'm miserable but pretending not to be as it's dp's birthday. Fucks sake.

lildottie · 18/11/2015 18:22

Hi London, I'm 10weeks tomorrow. Had scan 2weeks ago and booking appt yesterday. Bloods next week and desperately waiting for next scan date!

lily what honey said about opks. But fyi the cheap strips are not fmu like clear blue is. Also you may want to look at times of your temping as chart is jagged with a few open circles. Best to keep to same time every day. If you are already then maybe try temping vaginally instead of orally for more accurate temps

lildottie · 18/11/2015 18:23

just x posted :( have you managed to do your bloods yet my lovely? Sti rooting for you from the other side x

LilyWhite2 · 18/11/2015 18:35

Lildottie - Yeh few are, I noted them down with number 1 pinky "symptom" as I've had a terrible time sleeping lately so the times with the open circle are different times to my usual 7:45.

I might try vaginally next cycle. Thanks everyone and gl with your bfps xx

justtheonethen · 18/11/2015 18:40

No Sad. Tried this cycle but couldn't do it even with valium. Feeling shit so don't make me feel guilty please, I am beating myself up about it already.

Can't believe you're ten weeks!

oneyorkshirepud · 18/11/2015 19:29

Flowers Just. I think someone might have mentioned it already but have you tried hypnotherapy? Really good for phobias and you will have practised being hypnotised so you could use it for labour too!

justtheonethen · 18/11/2015 19:31

I had forgotten that pud, going to google some now.

oneyorkshirepud · 18/11/2015 19:34

Where abouts in the country are you Just?

lildottie · 18/11/2015 19:44

just you'll get there. Just don't give up, and keep focussing on the end goal. It's good to deal with the fear now before you are pg. If you end up with assisted conception you'll have to have needles for sedation and meds, and WHEN you are pg the blood tests are done for your benefit and for baby.

I could get dh to film my blood test next week for you if you like! Grin

I know, I can't believe I'm pg, let alone 10weeks!

coribeth · 18/11/2015 20:02

just try cbt before I went into nursing I was needle phobic I passed out in the lecture Hall of my first lecture at uni cos there was clip art of a hyperdermic on the screen! Uni sent me to cbt I now take blood including my own still get a bit sweaty but at least I can stay conscious! Grin

SockQueen · 18/11/2015 20:14

Agree with the suggestions for CBT/hypnotherapy for your needlephobia just - it can be really helpful and will be good for you and your future baby. Nobody will judge you for asking for help.

Congratulations lollyb

I think the witch is here. Sad Only started this evening, so am I right in thinking tonight does not count and tomorrow is CD1? Need to ring the fertility clinic to get advice on next dose of Clomid.
