Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Oh and bloody well done on getting the blood test done in the first place!

Tinkletwinkle · 31/12/2015 07:25

just your prl is only slightly on the high side and I'd put money on that being caused by a stress reaction to the needle. Mine gets as high as 1500 but if I have a prolactinoma its only a small one, no cause for concern, no reason for mri. Folk can get pg with prl levels higher than that. For prl levels to give my endocrinologist even a glimmer of excitement they need to be over 5000, over 10,000 and she might scan you.

Tinkletwinkle · 31/12/2015 07:37

I'd bet that testosterone result is for free testosterone and in normal levels. Fsh is normal. Lh is quite high, if on retesting it remains high it could be indicative of a hormonal imbalance. I'd ask for repeat testing next cycle and possibly the one after. It's amazing how these things can change.
Try not to worry, you are on the right road Flowers

Catscatsandmorecats · 31/12/2015 08:43

corgi you are doing so well going through such a hard time, as you say, not at all fun.

just I have no idea either but do know Google is dangerous! When will you be able to speak to someone?

nfmv: DH fixed the coffee machine very quickly in the end so we did DTD Grin. Here starts a month of really going for it.

CountryGal4 · 31/12/2015 09:29

Just I'll grab lil she may know

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 09:31

Thanks viroids, I'll stop googling now.

tink that's reassuring. How are you lovely?
lil I've already had my day 21 which was 44 so looks like I ovulated.

I've got my appointment on the 15th so not long to wait.

If I ignore the others and just look at lh and fsh then the ratio is very high. I know that can be indicative of pcos. Can you have pcos with no symptoms at all? My periods are regular, I ovulated at least last month, I'm not overweight etc.
The sonographer didn't think there was anything going on either when I had my ultrasound. It would be picked up then wouldn't it?

Glad the coffee machine is fixed cats Wink

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 09:32

lil has given me some advice country, her and tink have given me a virtual slap! How are you love?

ChatEnOeuf · 31/12/2015 09:48

Excellent news on the coffee maker Cats Wink

You can't really have PCOS without either symptoms or cysts can you? Wouldn't make sense to my tiny little brain anyway.

Lovely to see you Tink, hope you had a great Christmas.

lildottie · 31/12/2015 10:07

just I'm far from an expert but I doubt you have pcos. As tink says it may be nothing to worry about. Yes lh/fsh ratio may be high but as you ovulated I don't think id be too worried. As I said I never had day 3 so no idea what mine was as they used amh. Has your dh had sa yet?

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 10:16

Dp's sa came back normal. I'll try not to worry until I see the consultant.

It wouldn't make sense to me either chat so fingers crossed.

LondonGirl83 · 31/12/2015 10:37

I'm glad you've been reassured Just

My free was a bfn-- that with my temp starting a slow decline I think I'm out for this cycle. Af due tomorrow or Saturday.

Off to get properly smashed tonight!

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 10:46

london rats, that sucks. You can have all the wine now though. WineWine

Epilepsyhelp · 31/12/2015 11:01

Hi chat thanks, we have actually been dtd every day just in case (DH is happier about this than I am!) but I have no idea at all when I ovulate. I had thought (from dr Google) that it would be around day 14 but I realise after reading the conception threads that it could easily be later..

fuzzy please tell re the chin spots?! I got one a couple of days after Christmas!!

Epilepsyhelp · 31/12/2015 11:02

Oh and London that sounds like a bloody good plan - I don't know if I'm out yet this month, should I be avoiding..

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 11:04

You can drink epilepsy, you don't share a blood stream until 5 weeks so even if you are pregnant you don't need to worry.
I get chin spots around ovulation too!

CountryGal4 · 31/12/2015 11:09

Crap massive x post?! Ergh my stupid phone did not update the Fred properly.

I'm good, how are you? How was your Christmas pet?

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 12:35

Yeah good thanks. Hope you had a good one.

Think I'm going to end up watching tv instead of going to a party tonight as dp has toothache and I will feel too mean if I leave him!

Hope everyone else has more exciting plans!

CountryGal4 · 31/12/2015 13:33

Oh you are a good egg! We're going to watch Star Wars. Dh has man flu though

lildottie · 31/12/2015 13:50

epilepsy font overdo the alcohol if you're in the twot, it has been linked to impact on implantation. Definitely don't completely abstain though.

just are you being referred to a fc now? Good that his sa was normal and you are ovulating.

lildottie · 31/12/2015 13:51

I know you said you'd had ultrasound but have you had hsg yet?

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 14:59

Yes we have second appoint be whey fc in Jan. Not has hsg yet, at first app my doctor said the next step would be a lap and dye though.

justtheonethen · 31/12/2015 14:59

Be whey?! To the!

Kwick709 · 31/12/2015 18:12

Please, please, please let me join this Fred! I do not strictly meet the criteria - I am 41, single so no shagging for me (using donor sperm) and also I do not have a cat. But I have just read all 35 pages of this Fred and I think you can help with the crazy that comes my way during 2WW (and at all other times to be honest)
I am with CRGH in London and did loads of tests including ORT in May/June and had first IUI in September. This is my 5th try, first with Menopur - which is giving me some interesting side effects... Although not sure if the massive blackhead/puss ball on boobabge can be linked to that.
I am afraid that I use contraband also... Opks and POAS (although my aim is not great so PIAR for me). I had a day 9 scan today and have 3 follicles -15mm, 13mm and 7mm. Cannot check for lh surge as Menopur can give false positive, had bloods taken today, lh not yet surging, have another scan on 2nd. So IUI will be in a few days hopefully... And then 2WW will begin... Please say I can join so that I have support from you lovely viroids?

honeysucklejasmine · 31/12/2015 18:50

Lol Kwick welcome! You sound like you view contraband like everyone does... I.e. pretend its evil whilst pissing on all the sticks! Do you have a date for egg collection?

honeysucklejasmine · 31/12/2015 18:50

Oh sorry, IUI not IVF! No egg collection needed!
