Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a Kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into TTC obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Gx for you ella. You never know!

I'm feeling ridiculously miserable today, I'm convinced I'm not pregnant. Af due Tuesday and I'm sure it will.

Just realised I forgot to phone for progesterone results Friday, will do Monday.

EllaBella07 · 12/12/2015 18:30

Gx for you too Just but I think I'll be here drowning my sorrows then if you need to join in xxx

MyBlackCat · 12/12/2015 19:18

Yay congrats sock another bfp

Cd16 here no shagging and no inclination to either. Sad pissed on an opk earlier, definite negative, faint line, definitely think the stress has delayed ovulation. Still no sign of ewcm. I've spent all day preparing for job assessment day next week, having a break to watch strictly before I get back to it - merry fucking Christmas Angry

Welcom ella I'm not usually this miserable honest!

OP posts:
Catscatsandmorecats · 13/12/2015 05:47

just & black I think there's something in the air, I've been in a foul mood too. I hope things cheer up for both of you soon.

I'm now 5/6 days until the witch is due (was a bit ambiguous last time) and getting some nausea. This is probably due to the lack of sleep (I'm hoping not another vomiting bug) but I'm an idiot so I'm going into mental symptom spotting mode. Someone please hand me several grips!

EllaBella07 · 13/12/2015 08:44

Hey Cats I think you're right about there being something in the air. I am a right miserable cow this morning. I've no real reason to be but I'm in a definite funk Sad

CountryGal4 · 13/12/2015 10:10

cats no early pissing!!!!!!

justtheonethen · 13/12/2015 17:31

What country said!

I'm feeling ill, I'm worried I've got shingles again, feels exactly the same and got a small rash in same place as last time Sad. Not sure what to do, suppose I should go to doctors in morning to check?

ChatEnOeuf · 13/12/2015 19:13

Ooh, Just I hope it isn't. Shingles is horrid.

Welcome, Els! We're all mad and neurotic. At least you can tell us and we can screen for what comes out of your mouth to DH Grin Sorry you've had a tough road getting your DD - you're in good company here Flowers

No early pissing Cats!Hooyah for you. I have epic patience because I hate being wrong. I'm also tight, and peesticks were expensive in Belgium. Only time I ever tested early it was twins - tested because of symptoms.

DH has decided that his ever-decreasing involvement in Christmas present selection for his family has come to an end. Bastard. His parents have everything and have no time. Last year I twinned their toilet with a Cambodian latrine....

SockQueen · 13/12/2015 20:26

Go to the doctors tomorrow just - if it is shingles and you catch it early they can give you aciclovir to help clear it up quicker!

I'm failing quite badly at Christmas presents at the moment - I've got something for DH (but there's another thing I want to get him), my parents, SiL + sister's boyfriend, but nothing for my sister, PiLs, Grandpa-in-law or BiL. The latter three should really be H's responsibility but he just won't get anything if I leave it to him!

justtheonethen · 13/12/2015 21:03

Dp has also stopped showing even the smallest bit of interest in what we buy his family. Xmas Angry Might have to twin their toilet!

I think it is, I feel like I did last time, fluey, dizzy, earache, super sore neck on one side that is burning and tingling and the starting of a blistery rash that made me flinch when I investigated it Sad
I'll go to gp in morning, work will not impressed I shall think, is it just schools that make you feel like crap for being ill?

justtheonethen · 13/12/2015 21:04

Any ideas for grandparents/pil/bil send them this way please

Catscatsandmorecats · 13/12/2015 22:27

Thank you viriods, I can feel I am going to need a lot of hooyah this week but I have said to DH no poas until Saturday. He said he'd hide the sticks Smile

just I hope it isn't shingles but if it is the Dr can give you something to help. It is so horrid, I hope you feel better soon.

I force DH to buy for his family, but usually I coordinate it all and just tell him what to get. Fortunately his side are all good at doing lists.

coribeth · 14/12/2015 00:47

Never buy christmas pressies for dp side of family possibly due to the fact he absolutely loves christmas he loves christmas shopping for pressies and food and has infinitely more patients with it than me! Only downside is I have to reign him in cos he goes mad spends loads on me and the kids which is a definite upgrade from my ex who hated christmas one year I got a tin opener! (Electric) that was about the most he'd ever spent! My mother coordinated and got me a spatula and tea towels! When I asked her why she said ex told her that's what I wanted!?!?

justtheonethen · 14/12/2015 12:37

A tin opener? Worst gift ever!

So I do have shingles, and possibly glandular fever/am anemic so doctor sent me for blood test to rule out everything as apparently I look "terrible" Hmm. To be fair to my lovely gp I do. So I'm signed off for week and feeling shit. And guilty about work.
Got antivirals and codydramol. Thought the drugs merited early poas, bfn Sad but at least I can take my lovely drugs.

oneyorkshirepud · 14/12/2015 13:11

Just that sounds rubbish!! You are officially not allowed to feel bad about work and I insist that you put your feet up from now until after Xmas you poor old bean. Having had anaemia and GF I highly recommend taking it easy, pushing yourself will only hamper your recovery!

justtheonethen · 14/12/2015 13:19

Thanks pud, I feel awful so I'm going to take your advice

oneyorkshirepud · 14/12/2015 13:51

Good idea! Grin In terms of feeling completely naff from the GF I felt better after a few weeks but in terms of getting back to full fitness (in terms of running etc) it took a really long time.

CountryGal4 · 14/12/2015 14:10

Dead lord that's awful, I've had gf before. Get in bed immediately!!

justtheonethen · 14/12/2015 14:17

I'm really hoping I don't as I had it when I was at college and it totally wiped me out. On the plus side if there is anything else at all wrong with me I've had the blood test for it, hoping for some mystery deficiency that once sorted means I get pregnant Hmm

LondonGirl83 · 14/12/2015 14:21

Congrats YBS Very exciting!!

Welcome Ella

LondonGirl83 · 14/12/2015 14:30

Just that sounds horrid. I've (knock on wood) never had shingles or GF but both combined with anemia merits taking it easy through the new year!

Sorry about the bfn though Flowers

CD10 here. Expecting to ice on Wednesday as per my pattern. Will do an OPK shortly and either shag tonight if positive of tomorrow if not. I have plans tonight I'd need to cancel to shag DH tonight.

We shagged on Saturday and afterwards he asked me if I felt pregnant. Had to explain that it was a bit early for that Confused. Bless him.

SockQueen · 14/12/2015 14:32

Oh poor you just I hope it's not GF as well! I had it at uni and it was grim. You must look after yourself and rest though, or you can really set yourself back.

EllaBella07 · 14/12/2015 14:45

I second what everyone says Just, into bed immediately! Shingles sounds terrible :(

I'm due af today but when I went to have my legs waxed this morning we had to keep stopping because I felt so queasy. My non neurotic brain is telling me I've come down with a strange bug & im just not listening to the other side (ooh nausea...maybe you're preggers. LALALALALALA I'M NOT LISTENING) Blush

angelazul · 14/12/2015 15:53

Just that sounds awful, look after yourself Flowers
