A few months ago I saw a medium. She was really nice- but she told me that I had miscarried a little girl a while ago and this little girl stayed with me always. She said she knew the baby was mine cos it was calling me mum. Needless to say this has freaked me out! Can't remember ever miscarrying!! What do you all think? Is it mumbo jumbo or has anybody been told something similar? xxx

I was asked by a medium if I had m/c and at the time I hadn't but I did 3 months later. The same medium also said that a 24 year old man was trying to contact me and I said I didn't know a 24 year old man that had died. A year later in our local paper my ex boyfriend's pic was there and it was the result into an inquest into his death! I hadn't even known he'd died. Apparently he'd fallen off a balcony in Spain. He was 24 when he died. Make of that what you will.

I'm sorry but I am a rather fierce cynic, and I probably shouldn't post on this thread because I am not objective. But you can't worry about something a medium has said. They are in the business of making money out of vulnerable people and will go to great lengths to be able to say things that are of significance to their client.

Don't worry yourself about it, even if (and this is me trying to be objective they were for real, and you miscarried, there's nothing you can do now is there. Your body will have told you if you needed medical help!

If you don't remember miscarrying, then you probably haven't!

The medium could just be plain wrong. That doesn't mean to say that all mediums are wrong, but I assume even good ones get things wrong soemtimes!

Please don't loss sleep over it.

I had my cards read a few years ago just before I met my DH. She told me some incredible things about my past that there was no way she would know as I did not say a word. Some of the things she told me came true and others didn't. The freaky thing was that some of the things that did, she phrased in my own words for example, I always said I wanted to fall madly in love and feel the fireworks. She looked up from the cards and said, you'll get your fireworks! that was freaky! and I did . She also said she kept getting signs about children living and deceased. I can't help wondering whilst I am TTC now if there was something around that that I maybe should have asked but it wasn't my focus at the time.

I saw Derek Acora live a few years ago and he picked me out in the audience with a message from my old Nan. All the things he predicted have come true. He also predicted we'd have a baby girl followed by two boys. C'mon Derek don't let me down now.....

Also went to a local medium in my early 20's who said I'd be well into my 30's before I settled and married and that I would struggle to conceive and would miscarry the first time round. At the time I thought she was insane and now it haunts me...... just have to keep thinking about Derek Acorah. Perhaps its all twoddle and strange coincidences....who knows

Chandra - According to Derek Acorah- babies carry on growing into adulthood in the spirit world. Not sure if thats comforting or spooky...

BoJingles ? I find it all really interesting. A psychic in India told me Dad years and years before he met him Mum he?d have 3 daughters and he did. Focus on the good stuff!

I don't think it's mumbo jumbo. My PILs are mediums and go to a spiritualist church. They're not in it to make money from the vulnerable, it's just their belief. I have really, really interesting conversations with them.

A few weeks ago my FIL "saw" a boy about a year older than dd in his garden. He said he thought we'd arrived as he looked so much like dd. He asked the boy who he was and he said he was Surfermum and dad's boy and that he was happy. I think it was my first miscarriage which I grieve for every year.

The PILs have told me too that spirit children grow up in spirit. MIL also says that they do get things wrong sometimes, so it is possible that she didn't get this right, but could you have had an early miscarriage and didn't realise?

Never told about a MC but got told two days before I found out I was pg, that I was infact PG and it will be a wee boy. Still waiting to find out sex but that freaked me out.

Nearly 7 yrs ago I had a MC and was devastated ( 13 weekspg). My mate went to see a medium a few weeks later , who talked about me unprompted and said i had lost a baby girl 9 don't know if was a girl) who would always be with me. Ahe told my pal to tell me not to griev as i would givee birth to a boy within 12 months which I did. I don't know what was going on, but I was willing this medium to tell my friend some good news and she did.. It may all be coincidence but it gave me so much comfort at a really hard time..

in early 2005 I had a reading and medium immediately referred to a baby girl I'd lost a few months before. she also said I would have trouble conceiving next child....here I am nearly 2 years later...having trouble conceiving.

I saw another medium last oct who told me she saw another child for me soon but also that 'they come when they are ready'. I saw the same medium again this year and she said exactly the same thing again. She also asked if I'd lost one as she thought I should have had two by now...spooky!

If anything it gave me hope and made me feel more positive. I think as long as you don't live your life by what a medium tells you there is no harm in it.

It can't be ruled out that there are spirits out there trying to get in touch with us. But what's the value? It's just sad and painful to think they are out there.
Even if it were true, it is just disturbing, so better not go there. As for the MC, you probably would have noticed something... so try not to worry.
Also, what about all the children that could have been born but for various reasons haven't, i.e. haven't even been conceived.
We could worry no end.
But it does give me goosepimples to hear about such things.

I have to disagree with the sad and painful part of what you are saying coco. I think it makes some people feel reassured and peaceful knowing that someone they love and cared about is watching over them.

I think you are right about the worry part - whats for you won't go by you and i'm a big believer in fate so no matter what your told i think its out with our control to a certain extent so we just need to go with the flow.
