You can't beat a Freddie Mercury-themed title to get a new thread going Grin

good not god :o unless it is the son of god in there imps have you had any strange visitors recently?

keepitgoing · 16/02/2016 10:17

Cyclogest is £8pw, my utrogestan is £35pw at my clinic though dh found Sainsbury's is £23 so will go there if gp won't prescribe. Clexane is £2 a day, it adds up for 12 weeks, I'm sure I finished at 9 weeks in Thailand...

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 10:19

Not that I know of, Beedles, my child.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/02/2016 10:28

What's so special about the utrogestan? I have Lutinus now which look like rectangular tablets, they even have a special applicator. Though as you're supposed to use the same applicator for a week I prefer to use a Clean finger (my own not anyone else's!) They're much less gunky than the crinone I had previously (pre-filled applictors of a thick creamy substance)

thanks imps

keepitgoing · 16/02/2016 10:35

No idea but they are less gunky and have an applicator each . I also have to do it 3x a day which is a pain

Kneels before imps

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 10:52

Ooh can you buy cyclogest over the counter? I way prefer bum bullets to fanjo gunk.

keepitgoing · 16/02/2016 11:14

No no, you need a private prescription but Sainsbury's do cheap drugs it seems

This one can't go up the bum...

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 11:20

how does one get a private prescription if the GP won't prescribe?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/02/2016 11:27

you might be able to persuade the GP to give you a private prescription, so you have to pay for the drugs and it doesn't come out of the NHS budget. I've only ever had a private prescription for anti-malaria drugs. But if you managed to persuade the gp that you needed them you'd kind of expect a normal prescription.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/02/2016 11:29

meant to say, if BH won't do it and the GP won't either I have no idea. Private GP?, though probably very expensive.

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 11:44

Okay, thanks. I'd be a bit miffed if the GP refused given my disasterous fertility history. I found another box of Crinone at the back of my bathroom cabinet which I can use if I need to.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 16/02/2016 12:17

I'll happily donate the crinone that I have left if you want it (I might have to check the date on them first!) seeing as how the crinone never had any effect on me anyway!

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 12:58

Awh thanks Beedles

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 16:20

I have been conducting some web-based research into the sensitivity of CB digitals this afternoon ignoring client emails in the process. Apparently they detect HCG at 25miu. Now I am pretty bloody sure that implantation started on 5 DPO as I had a tapping/punching sensation North East of the fanjo (as you look at it (not that I'm asking you to look at it) all afternoon and cramping overnight. Assuming a non-pregnant level of HCG of 2miu (which is the level the EPU told me they considered to be a non-pregnant level) and a 48hour doubling period, it would have been around 16miu yesterday and around 24miu today. So that all seems to make sense without the prospect of twinnage.

Oooh I love peestick science.

Imps9 · 16/02/2016 16:21

Pinching, not punching Grin

Pastamancer · 16/02/2016 16:36

The punching and kicking comes later Imps. I swear DD2 used to be trying to copy your BFP celebrations in there

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 16/02/2016 18:26

Imps why not call BH and see what they say? I know someone via a rmc thread on here, who was going to do IVF then got a BFP just at the last second, and her clinic were very happy to arrange blood tests, scans and drugs for her. Sadly hers wasn't a sticky bean but they gave her everything she needed to give it the best chance (at a price obv as not NHS). Or try your GP, they might be sympathetic.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/02/2016 06:44

imps I checked the crinone but I only have couple and they were out of date last month. I'm not really sure why I bothered to keep them. Now I remember that I used to only just get enough to get me to OTD with the crinone due to the size of the boxes it came in.

Imps9 · 17/02/2016 07:25

Thanks Beedles that's kind of you. BH send enough for about 2 weeks post-OTD. I like the optimism but it is a bit wasteful.

How are you feeling about Friday?

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/02/2016 07:30

I'm kind of waiting to see what happens in the dildocam this morning first, I don't even have a time booked for ET yet! I'm totally not expecting it to work, but I'm never going to get pregnant if we don't try. How are you today, will we have some more peestick photos to compare :o

Imps9 · 17/02/2016 07:37

I've emailed BH. Am convinced there's nothing they will do but at least I won't regret not asking the question.

Imps9 · 17/02/2016 07:39

Well since you ask Beedles... It's not really any darker today and am feeling very very very AF-y. But I don't think it's lighter either...

Don't stop us now! We're having such a good time, we're having a ball and BROOKING NO ARGUMENT!
Imps9 · 17/02/2016 07:41

And you're totes right about not getting diffed if you don't try. It really is as simple as that isn't it?

What socks have you got on for the scan today?

keepitgoing · 17/02/2016 07:57

I'd say that's darker imps, you won't be getting AF with that line! Good call on emailing bh, let me know if you want a week of cyclogest

Good luck for today beedle

BeedlesPineNeedles · 17/02/2016 09:09

Just plain boring black ones imps like 90% of my socks (all exactly the same so no matching needed!)

I'd say the line is slightly darker but I Think they do fade a Little over time so its hard to say - but definately not lighter.

The doctor is still a Little unsure if we should go ahead, lining was 8mm and the used follicle (what is that in English I've forgotten?) was 13 mm. I'm not sure whether it was the size or the shape that she was worried about. Anyway they've taken some blood to check my progesterone levels and will let me know this afternoon if we're going ahead on Friday.

I'm not too worried, its good that they are taking care of me and don't want to waste our precious frosties.
