You can't beat a Freddie Mercury-themed title to get a new thread going Grin

Will they give you progesterone Beedles? Glad you can get started this cycle - it's always good to have something to focus on. The thumb-twiddling is the worst part about IVF I find.

Haaaa yes obvs I'm going to get an accidental FUFC sticky BFP. But in the non-Brooking world I'm focussing on the fact that there's a really tiny chance I will get diffed and an even tinier chance of another ectopic, so hopefully we won't have ballsed up our IVF timetable again.

Oh bloody hell! I had apparently lost my first post, hence the re-draft, and now it's there three times! It's MN's fault - I haven't lost the plot, promise.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 04/02/2016 09:11

I don't know whether they'll give it to me or not, but I'll ask anyway! I'll also ask again about RMC when I see the Dr either at the scan on Monday or when we go in for the transfer.

Good morning my lovelies!

Egg definitely popped yesterday as this morning's eggsticks are negative. So am hoping and praying that our accidental but perfectly timed shag on Wednesday hasn't ruined everything.

A non-working day for me today so am in bed with a cuppa and my crochet I definitely am not crocheting myself a baby blanket, no way.

What are your weekend plans?

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 05/02/2016 09:47

Started bleeding today. Actually quite nice having done the tests and knowing that it would be happening rather than it turning up as a nasty shock.

Imps, based on my experience, if sperm are hanging about when an egg pops, chances are highly likely it will fertilise and it definitely only takes one shag for us in the 6 days before ov. The only uncertainty in the whole process is whether or not it successfully implants or not and then develops correctly to be a sticky bean or whether it fails for whatever reason. So I would say you are very much in a 2ww!!

keepitgoing · 05/02/2016 10:06

Hmm loopy that may be true for you but certainly isn't for everyone! We've always had sperm there but AFAIK never a fertilisation!

Sorry to hear about AF, will you use the clomid again this month?

Imps9 · 05/02/2016 11:04

Oh yes, am deffo in a 2ww. Mr I only has about 4 sperm, so it's unlikely that any will have survived the journey to the tube. And even if an egg does get fertilised and implant, the odds are that it will end in MC/ectopic. It's the impact of that on IVF plans which concerns me, rather than the actual MC/lack of BFP. That's why we were trying our best not to have The Sex. Clearly though I am far too irresistible for that Wink Grin

It would be absolutely fascinating to know why you don't conceive naturally Keep. You clearly make good embryos which can implant. One day they will unlock the "unexplained" mystery!

keepitgoing · 05/02/2016 11:38

Did they say you're at increased risk of ectopic now imps?

It is interesting isn't it? I wonder if there's something big they just don't look at. I expect it's a combo of slightly dodgy sperm, slightly hostile environment (like Monica from friends) but if it was that I do think we might have had something in the 4 years we have TTC naturally. Although all the FETs failed so it seems that my body needs fuckloads of drugs

Imps9 · 05/02/2016 13:38

They didn't say Keep, but from the little I've read about them on t'interweb, you seem to be more at risk of having an ectopic if you've had one previously. I wonder if that might be because of scarring in a tube which might trap the blastocysts? No idea really. That said, apparently only 2% of pregnancies are ectopic so the chances generally are actually really quite small.

I wonder if the failed FETs were just bad luck? I don't mean that flippantly, but I think I read that naturally, even if people who have optimum fertility, only around 20% of blastocysts actually implant. Your FEs might just have been in the 80% that wouldn't have done even if there was nothing wrong with them or with you (if you see what I mean).

You've made me want to watch Friends now. I may put a couple of episodes on while I tidy the lounge.

keepitgoing · 05/02/2016 15:15

I live friends - bought the full box set recently... V jealous of your Friday off!

Yes I suppose it most likely was bad luck, but it seems a little suspicious to me

Holy moly I'm tired! Can I go home yet??

Imps9 · 05/02/2016 17:19

I've watched 3 episodes of Series 7 and have laughed like a drain. Surely the best TV programme ever made.

Imps9 · 07/02/2016 17:52

Have finished the baby blanket! Will keep it in my drawer for a little while... y'know, just in case. I can always use it as a bath mat if we don't get a baby...

Don't stop us now! We're having such a good time, we're having a ball and BROOKING NO ARGUMENT!
keepitgoing · 07/02/2016 18:45

imps that is gorgeous!! Obviously a weekend well spent, how long did it take?

Hope everyone had good weekends, pretty rainy this way but have had a good one anyway. And a cheeky nap today which was amazing!!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/02/2016 06:13

wow imps that's Beautiful, you're so clever.

We had a Lovely weekend, we hada spa afternoon yesterday for my birthday, lots of lazing around in warm pools and saunas and then we both had a massage and a seaweed bath! We are both relaxed and have Lovely soft skin!

Today I'm being dildocammed, obviously I'm hoping that they're going to say it was all a mistake and I am actually pregnant still (doesn't everyone go into a dildocam hoping that they might see a baby on the screen, even if there is no hope whatsoever!) but more realistically I'm hoping they will say that my lining is fine and I have a nice juicy egg growing so we can do a FET this month

keepitgoing · 08/02/2016 09:30

Happy birthday lovely beedle - a doldocam, what a lovely present.... Hope all is good in there

Imps9 · 08/02/2016 13:05

Happy birthday to you Beedles! Your weekend sounds perfect. And hurrah for more dildocamming - always such a treat. Did you pee on any eggsticks this weekend?

I started the blanket last week Keep - I guess it took about 20 hours in total. I do love a bit of crochet.

Tired today. Is it nearly the weekend?

Imps9 · 08/02/2016 13:17

I should add that my tiredness is clearly because am diffed. Am 4 DPO today - I expect the morning sickness will kick in tomorrow.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/02/2016 13:28

I have been probed, alas no baby in there!

One follicle at 11mm and Another slightly smaller, so it a bit slower than last month (I was 16mm on day 9), probably due to the chem preg. I need to continue with the ov sticks and then they want to probe me agaín at 3 or 4dpo just to check Everything is ok. I asked the dr if we are allowed to do another fresh cycle Before we have used all the frosties and she said that was fine seeing as how I'm getting old Sad She also agreed to give me a prescription for progesterone for this cycle, to begin after ET.

So plan A - get pregnant with FET this month
Plan B - Another fresh cycle, hopefully with freeze all and some testing at Coventry whilst we're waiting to do Another FET.

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/02/2016 13:31

Clearly you are diffed imps

My Lovely colleague just came along with a chocolate muffin - with Candles in it, and sang happy birthday in English (rather than the crappy Swedish version of happy birthday!!)

keepitgoing · 08/02/2016 13:40

Why do you want to do another fresh cycle first beedle esp with 3 lovely frosties? Have I missed something? Pah you're not old, you had a stellar response on your last fresh round!

I want a muffin!

BeedlesPineNeedles · 08/02/2016 14:10

because if it doesn't work with these frosties it will probably be the autumn Before we can do Another fresh cycle - so nearly a year after the last fresh cycle. And it will be a bit easier to fit in a trip to Coventry without feeling that we're sitting around doing nothing for a few months. And if we ever get baby no 1 we might actually still have some frosties left for a sibling. Plus I'm not sure if we can cope with 4 rounds of FET in a row. The Dr was absolutely fine with the idea, I don't Think they would have agreed if I'd been younger.

Imps9 · 08/02/2016 14:49

I think that sounds like a great plan Beedles, esp as you have already paid for them.
