Beedles I went to the Implantation Clinic which is at university hospital in Coventry. Prof Quenby runs it with Prof Brosens. They charge a one off £360 fee. You only need to have had one miscarriage to be able to self refer yourself to them. You need to have 2 AF's after a mc, then call them when you ovulate in the next cycle and visit them 7-10 dpo. They only run the clinic on Monday and Friday afternoons. They do the scratch and biopsy and then you get an email approx 4 weeks later, and then you have a phone consultation the following week. If you can't get prescriptions where you are then they can issue prescriptions to you but they will be hospital ones so you have to go back to collect them. (Someone flew back from Spain a few months back as she was diagnosed with high NK and so they did a scan for her to confirm location and gave her all the meds, she's over half way through her pregnancy now I think). Their standard protocol is progesterone twice daily from 7 dpo (usually 200mg each dose, but sometimes 400mg) and then if get a BFP, continue progesterone, often at 400mg twice daily, and then clexane from location scan. If high NK then pred as well.
Re the 2 cycles, technically they say chemical pregnancies count. However I had been told that I shouldn't be testing until my period was late by my NHS consultant. So I shouldn't have known I was pregnant since July. I went in November and they said they got a really good sample from my lining so clearly a chemical pregnancy doesn't really affect things.
Prof Q will be doing the Tommys research from April onwards but she said that it won't involve NK testing, so that would be another potential avenue to look at. It is free and will also be based at Coventry.
Coventry don't suggest intralipids as far as I know. I think it's just Shehata who does that? But that's blood NK cells rather than uterine ones. Shehata also suggests IVIG to some people, someone on the rmc thread has paid a small fortune for his tests and as a result spent a second fortune on several rounds of IVIG for her last BFP and is about 16 weeks pregnant at the moment.
