Hi ladies, I have had 4 miscarriages. The last 3 have been back to back, the first between our 2 daughters. Finally got an appointment with recurrent misc clinic who took bloods. GP feels it could be clotting issue due to pre-eclampsia on second daughter. We won't have results until Jan. We were told that if I got pregnant between now and then so be it. We have decided to see what happens. I will be put on progesterone, high dose folic acid and aspirin when and if I get a bfp with no guarantees.
We have done a ton of research into the merits of aspirin and GP is a major supporter of it not just for pregnancy related issues but overall health. Am based in Ireland and its only on prescription from ob/gyn not GP but I have some here anyway. The issue I have is should I start to take it anyway now (1 dpo) and wait and see what test says, do I wait until I hopefully get a bfp and then take it or do I wait altogether until Jan and see what the consultant says?? Any advice appreciated. We are devastated with the losses over this year and would love one more baby. Waiting seems very hard to accept. I'm 37 in the next few weeks.
Thanks. Betty XX
