Are the frers any more accurate than ICs?

I have two and they claim to be accurate at 8dpo onwards... I'm 9dpo and got BFN on an IC. Deffo saving a frer for if I miss period but would it be sensible to use the other frer with FMU tomorrow? Seems daft getting frers then refusing to use them before period is due. After all even ICs would work then.

In my experience, ics aren't nearly as sensitive as they claim. I think they claim 10 or 15, but I would say it's more like 25. I saw a clinical study online where frer were coming up positive at levels of 6, so I definitely think they are more sensitive. With my current pg I got bfp on frer at 9dpo and ic not till 12dpo. It's annoying to use the frer early in case it's bfn, but i don't think you're likely to get a bfp on an ic until after you'd get one on a frer. If I was being sensible, I'd advise you wait until 12dpo, but I know I wouldn't be able to hold our that long in your position! Good luck

Frers are definitely more accurate than ics especially if you are testing early.

Thank you. Used the frer yesterday (9dpo) but it was basically pointless as was very diluted sample but wanted to try it anyway. Has BFN on IC this morning too. Going to try to save remaining frer for fri when AF is due.
