Got very, very over excited with a bfp last week but started bleeding a couple of days ago and now have a bfn Sad Serves me right for celebrating too soon but now trying to come to terms with another go at ttc. Any pearly words of wisdom or positive stories would be extremely welcome! (I am also old - 42 - btw so chances are probably a bit slim anyway) Confused

No words of wisdom but sorry for your loss. Good luck ttc. A lot of my friends who have mc'd have found that they got pregnant straight away. A good friend of mine who works in medicine told me that it is the body's way of practising. I think that was just to make me feel better when supporting my best friend through a loss. However, she did fall the next month.

Thanks Loki. I know it happens to loads of women, so hopefully I'll have a happier outcome next month and be like your friend! :)

Sorry for your loss. I had the same experience last Christmas after about eight months of TTC. I then conceived at the start of April and am now almost 30 weeks pregnant. I understand it's quite common to successfully conceive quite soon after - I hope this helps a little. Good luck Flowers
