Hi, I normally have a very regular 30 day cycle but this month AF arrived 7 days early. I was wondering whether it is just AF pitching up early or whether it could be implantation bleeding… It differed from my usual periods in the following ways:
- Painful but not crippling (normally my periods are absolute agony)
- Lighter than usual (but definitely more than just spotting)
- Slightly shorter than usual (4 instead of 5 days)
However, if it hadn't come early, I'm not sure I would have noticed it was significantly different from a normal month.
When I had DD I had what seemed like a normal, but not as painful, period when I was 2 weeks pregnant, so I didn’t realise I was pregnant until I was actually 6 weeks along. (At 6 weeks I also had severe cramps exactly when my period was due but AF never came.) So when I went for my 12 week scan I was suddenly told I was actually 16 weeks pregnant! Because of all this, since we’ve been trying for DC2 even when I do get my period, although I’m disappointed, some doubt/hope remains, and this month has just been even more confusing!
I know the only way to know whether I’m pregnant or not is to hang on till Sunday (when AF was due) and do a test but was just wondering if anyone has any advice while I wait it out…does implantation bleeding sound like a possibility? Or has it just been sodding AF twice in one month?! Thanks!
