Anyone here have endometriosis? Does it make it harder to get pg?

Just been told today that I've got endometriosis. I forgot to ask if it makes it harder to get pg, been TTC now for 8 months, but apparently doc's won't help until you've been trying for a year. Scary thought seeing as I'm almost 39.5!

I thought if you were over 35 they said to seek advice after 6 months? I don't have it but my friend does and had to have an operation. She was told conceiving might be difficult but managed ok.
