Thanks for the birthday wishes! We took the kids to the seaside for a day out. So really my day was a day for the kids, but I guess this is what the future will be like when I eventually become a mum. Best part of the day was being on the beach at sunset with the kids giddy from ice cream and throwing stones into the waves. Then we all sat down, snuggled up and watched the sea until it got dark.

Then when we got home DP and I fell out about ttc. . He says he's trying his hardest but literally cannot do several days on the trot dtd as he needs time to 're-energise'. I brought up the SA but he just doesn't seem to get it at all! I said that we cannot move on to further tests for me until we've ticked that box but he said the proof is already there because he already has two kids.......bangs head......hopefully he'll have calmed down and thought about it overnight and the penny might have dropped. I don't know how I can make it any clearer for him! He's an intelligent bloke usually! He's so friggin laid back about the whole thing which is infuriating.

So I've woken up this morning feeling like giving up for now. Today is cd18 and I haven't had a temp rise yet. My gut feeling is telling me my body is going to fuck me around again this month . I cannot be arsed with this at the moment.

Fly - I'd say cd14 for your ov. FF changes it when you remove the spike because you haven't then had enough temps over the cover line.
See what it does the next couple of days.

DizzyN - I know I'm not one to talk about being hard on myself at the moment, but try keep positive. Fx your dh has had a change of heart this morning but if not maybe blame the system. Say something like 'I know that we know you can have children, but the nhs will not let me have any further tests until they have the proof on paper, it's a tick box exercise and so silly'

I'm in the waiting room now. Opk was still only a v.faint line so I didn't surge over the weekend which is good, but I'm not hopeful. I think it's going to be a no go. I just have a feeling. Xx

Dizzy I agree with that Sammy said about phrasing it as an NHS box ticking exercise. Maybe play it down a bit as a formality rather than him thinking that doctors are questioning his sperm quality.

I've woken up with a high temp today. I did get up to go to the loo at some point during the early hours. I also felt boiling when I woke up. Can clomid hot flashes cause temp rises? I don't remember it from last time, don't think I even got the hot flashes.

Ladies, I have decided that clomid is the work of the devil. It made me really sore and irritated last cycle and it's doing the same this cycle. We DTD last night and it was just not enjoyable whatsoever. It hurt. It feels like I have a thrush infection, without the actual thrush... Not sure what to do, or even if there's anything I can do. We used pre-seed, but it didn't help with the soreness. It wasn't dry, so that's not the issue; it just hurts. I think it might be to do with the hormones that clomid is making me produce. I asked DH if it felt any different to normal and he said that he didn't notice a difference, but it just wasn't pleasant for me. I didn't tell him, because it might put him off (he finds it difficult to perform for TTC sex anyway...)

It's such a catch 22 that I obviously can't ovulate without clomid, but when I take it, it does this to me...

Clomid can be a rough drug eskimo (no pun intended!). I was go to suggest a conception lube but I see you've already tried preseed. Did you use it with the applicator? Might be at TMI but I find it better to get it right up there! Maybe try a different one like conceive plus to see if that makes a difference?

I'm still bleeding today, thought it had stopped but no! Wait all this time for a bleed then it won't stop! Gah!

What CD are you on Maggers? No, we didn't use it with the applicator- there always seems to be too much of it with that, and I'm worried that it dilutes the sperm and has the effect of 'flushing' it out, rather than helping it along, if that makes sense?!

Just a quick update.
Lining looks better quality than on Saturday, and possibly grown slightly thicker, but still only 6mm Max and no dominant follicle to be seen. Have another scan on Wednesday.

She mentioned that my linings have never been very thick and now I'm thinking this has been our problem all along? My af is always quite light, only really needing tampons for a max of 2 days. I googled and being on the pill for years can cause poor uterine lining quality, as can sitting at a desk all day :(. If this is the case and I can't tolerate the drugs am I out of options? (Projecting into the future again, I know, I know!) xx

I'm CD7 so only a couple of days longer than usual, this has happened before after a long cycle. Still annoying though. I also manage to worry myself about anything I think might interfere with my clomid cycle, whether it's realistic or not!

I get what you mean about it flushing stuff out. I hadn't thought of it like that before. I think it's more like EWCM so it carries the sperm.
I think preseed do applicators you can fill yourself rather than prefilled ones so you can use as much or as little as you want. Think of it as replacing the CM that clomid takes away.

The improvement in the lining seems like a positive thing. It must be hard having repeated scans as there's only going to be little changes each time. I imagine that can get very frustrating!

Fly, I can't imagine the frustration some of you endure with husbands simply not being around during your fertile window. What a complete shitter. Can't be helped though. I would say FF's got it right if those temps are to be believed, but ewcm after the event makes no sense at all. In fact, I'll bet you have yet to ov (what is your normal ov day?)

Why is your nurse such a fucking scaremonger? IVF clinics abroad are thrilled if the lining is 6mm - you are yet to produce The Egg so actually I wouldn't expect your bloody lining to be ready yet!

You can't use too much Pre-seed. Sperm are incredibly determined and powerful little bastards and love anything slippery and wet

Bird. I'm cd16 today, faintest of the faint lines so no surge imminent which is good given current lining.

Well on both my fresh and frozen cycles I have ended up being very very sick which they have put down to the estrogen. The medicated FET was abandoned because they needed to increase my progynova dose to thicken the lining but I was already needing anti sickness injections on the dose I was on.

I don't think she meant to scare me, I asked. Although no one mentioned an issue with my lining when I had my nhs scan, in face I think they said I had a nice womb! Lol. Xx

Sammy I'm sorry are not much clearer, but good news about the faint opk, and lining increasing. That sounds hopeful, try not to panic about future issues, easier said than done I know.

I had a bit of a panic last night, I've been cramping all weekend, but not bleeding, and last night my temperature rocketed, I was shivering, distressed and so uncomfortable. I got it into my head that I must have an infection from the mc. DH was great, giving me iced water, paracetamol, ibroprophen and staying very calm. It did eventually pass, and temperature this morning is back to normal, so not sure what it was, but going to keep an eye on things. I'm going to try and get back dtd this week.

lily glad you're ok. That sounds scary.

I'm feeling a bit proactive - I've contacted a fertility clinic to find out dates for January for a consultation. I hope to not have to use it, but there's a 4 week wait so better to have it booked in.

Fly I can't help with your chart either I'm afraid as I don't temp. I'm sure someone will be able to help.

Kir I know what you mean about symptom spotting my BFP is due at the weekend. I'm sure I'm peeing more especially during the night. The problem is I think I'm peeing more every cycle

DizzyN sorry your DH is being a bit of a twat. We can't do it several days in a row it's too much. We have now compromised at when we fancy it leading up to ovulation, the day before, day of and day after ovulation. A days break then one extra time for luck. I've tried doing it more and it hasn't made the slightest bit of difference I'm still not getting pregnant .

Sammy sorry that you still aren't any clearer. I hope you get better news on Wednesday. Stop googling

Magpie and Eskimo sorry you aren't finding clomid the best. Eskimo I definitely don't think pre seed will flush anything out its supposed to aid in getting the sperm to its required destination. I've read up on it quite a bit and most people that got their BFP using it said they used the full amount. I still haven't tried it though. Perhaps ask your gp if there is anything you can do/take for the soreness.

Lily sorry you had a rough night. Is it worth mentioning to the gp even if just to put your mind at rest.

I just had a bit of brown cm when wiping. I'm only on cd27. My last two cycles were 33 days after taking SIs. I'm usually a 31 day cycle regular as clockwork. Soy must have messed things up. I thought it left your system quickly

Kir I'm 8dpo I think. I never get a positive opk on the ics always used to with cb. But my strongest line was last Saturday.

I'm getting period type pains at 6dpo. Feeling pretty pessimistic right now.

I'm not much help Kir I feel equally as pessimistic. I was getting all excited about peeing earlier & now I'm not noticing the peeing & I've had brown cm. I don't know what else to try. Maybe it means we will both get our BFP this month

Fingers crossed for you both! It's frustrating how symptoms in the 2WW can be similar whether you're getting AF or a BFP.
