Fly thanks for the SMEP advice! I use the same method as you for checking CM. Usually when checking my cervix (which is a novelty to me, I never used to be able to reach it and have only just figured out how )
After yours and DizzyN's suggestions, I might have to do some water based science experiments. I really enjoy the science side of all this, as sad (and slightly icky) as that is! I really need to get out more.

Good question on the difference between semen / EWCM! I struggle to see much EWCM myself (and I don't stick my fingers up me to check!) so I just go on my other signs and OPKs etc and then use preseed.

I have an awful wee infection! Argh! Agony! Been to docs today and got antibiotics - made sure they were safe to take if I get good news...

fly I'm 8dpo today and I'm not planning on testing any time soon. I've been getting really sad last few months with BFN so I figured I'd wait as long as possible - ideally I'll test once AF is late and temps still high! but in reality I'm probably going to cave and test Monday and every day after that

I hope everyone has something nice planned this weekend. Mine looks as though it's going to involve a lot of sitting on the loo!

Oh soda that sucks!! Get some cranberry in you (if you can stand it). Are you run down? I was sure I was going to get a uti with the lack of bathrooming after dtd (I always wee straight after) so the idea of staying put, arse in the air had me mega paranoid about developing cystitis. The things we do!!! Hope you're feeling better soon

Thanks fly, you're right about the weeing straight after DTD issue! This month at peak day I went to sleep with toilet roll in between my legs! was paranoid it would cause UTI but was ok. And now it's over a week later!

I did the water experiment. Has to be one of the maddest things I've done in my TTC career. It sank. I might just stick to OPKs and temping!

Dizzy that sounds like a hellish cycle. I really do hope you can get to the root cause of the issue.

So dh got his days muddled and it's today he's home so we tested this morning using a frer and its bfn. I guess that's me out. 9dp5dt is unlikely to be too soon. I can't even get pregnant with a perfect embryo and glue to stick it in :( xx

sammy you're not out until AF shows... I don't know how it works with ivf but plenty of people don't get BFPs til a week or even more after their missed period. Don't beat yourself up about it, whatever the outcome, please? Xxx

The bleeding came to nothing. Tiny bit of blood which I thought was the arrival of AF but nothing since. BFN this morning so no idea what is going on. AF may have got her dates wrong lol

Soda the experiment involved using the little pot I use when doing OPKs or pregnancy tests, filling it with water and dropping the suspected EWCM in. I'm even embarrassed to write that on an anonymous forum. TTC drives me to very strange things! How are you feeling today? Are the antibiotics helping?

Dizzym could still be implantation!! I think it normally takes a few days for hormones to rise to be measured by the tests? What test did you use?
