soda it's cycle 3 for us for #1. I'm 31 (32 next month!) and had my implant taken out in sept. This month we were planning on following the smep, but started on cd10 not 8 (DH was away) but then I had a positive opk cd11 so we dtd then too and then the following 2 days (as per smep) so ended up dtd every day for 4 days-by the 5th day I was sore and he was knackered and my temp was up so gave up then!! We used Preseed each time (some with applicator, some as a regular lube) and I used the bum-on-pillow tactic for 20-30mins after. We've both been taking pre-conception vits since September. So I would say that yes, this month we REALLY tried

fly I've not seen anyone yet, but got midwife and an early scan both a week today! Decided not to see my GP, but I do have to go see him anyway about other stuff so will just do it all together

My clinic called earlier to see how I was getting on. They asked if I had any symptoms yet and now I'm paranoid because I don't! I really don't think it's worked, surely I'd feel something by now?

The nurse jokingly said 'I hope you're not going too stir crazy' so I lied and said I wasn't! Lol. Xx

sammy hope you don't get baby bombed also don't worry about no symptoms, I've had none at all since bfp, worrying me a but because I feel like I should be feeling something

Sammy I don't want to get your hopes up. But I just wanted to let you know that no symptoms doesn't mean you aren't pregnant. I had more symptoms on my bfn cycles than I did on my BFP cycle. My only symptom was a lack of my usual Af gas .

DizzyN sorry to see you are having such a hard time. That is a mammoth cycle. Hopefully things will become clearer soon. Have you started on the soy that's possibly increased your cycle.

Can I ask a novice temping question? If AF is going to come when should your temp dip? The day it's going to come? Day before? I'm 8dpo today. I had a dip slightly below cover line at 4doo but temps been high since then

Af normally arrives the day after my temp drops, but I tend to have a gradual drop. The months that I've had a sudden drop it has arrived the same day. I've attached some examples of my charts for you, xx

Great news about your temp Sammy, I have everything crossed for Sunday :) Your boss is horrifically insensitive!

Sammy some people can be so insensitive but I'm sure she doesn't realise how much it's upsetting you, maybe a little comment to remind her of your situation will make her realise? You're doing fantastically well not testing. You need some kind of willpower reward!

Soda my temp (on the rare occasions I've ovulated) dips the day before AF.

How's everyone today? Any good plans for the weekend? I'm still ill, the lovely GP has given me nice painkillers for my swollen throat. Was able to DTD last night through the fog of codeine. Now just waiting for that elusive positive OPK. We're going to do SMEP this month as that's what got us our bfp last time (well after quite a few goes of it but that's not the point). Trying to remember the rules, is it every other day until positive OPK then every day until day after temp rise?

I also have a TMI question that in all my combined TTC years I've never figured out. How do you tell the difference between EWCM and left over preseed/semen? The only answers I seem to find when I google it (and omg my google history makes me look very strange ) is that EWCM is stretchier but I still can't work it out. Sorry to anyone who reads that on their lunch break

sammy how insensitive of your boss. Some people just don't think.

I got babybombed, again, last week. Another cousin. Was a bit fed up because my nan had told me his gf was desperate for a baby but he didn't want children. She was pretty shocked about the news but then said my aunt gave the impression they'd been trying for a while, so I reckon he was hiding his emotions. I don't know how long they were trying for but I'm pleased it's finally happened for them.

soda I get a couple of dips during my LP then a gradual decrease from 11dpo until af arrives. My temp doesn't go back below coverline until a few days after af finishes though.

fly that's a great line! Congrats again! I'm going to ask for more blood tests but I don't think progesterone is my issue, my last result was 65 which the GP said was a great result as anything above 30 is considered ok.

beaut I haven't had a chance to try the soy yet since I got them as I'm still on the same cycle! Hope you're doing ok X

magpie hope you feel better soon! Supposedly semen breaks when you try to stretch it but ew doesn't. Also I think I read somewhere that if you drop it into water, ew will form a ball but semen will dissolve?!

fly also my LP is 15 days so I would expect it would be shorter if I had low prog?

soda my temp starts going down slightly before AF but only goes below the cover line on day 2 of my AF. I have my fingers crossed for you!!! I'm 11dpo today and got that first squinty + on day 9... When you testing?

Magpie it's meant to be eod until positive opk then the day of opk and then the following 2 days and then a day off then once more. I don't think the plan takes temps into it actually (which is silly considering one can easily miss a +opk! Unless you're testing several times a day..?!) on the semen thing-I was reading up on this myself-one suggestion was that semen sinks and ewcm floats?! I can't remember if that was the right way around... But good luck testing it that way!! Haha how are you checking your cm? I did the fingers 'up there' method and I generally worked on the premise that 12-18hours seemed like a long time for semen to hang around so if we dtd the night before, then by lunchtime I'd probably be mainly clear of it and any fluid up there should be my own! Not scientific by any means...!

dizzyn yeah I think you're right, sounds like the issue is with the pre-O part of your cycle and not the lp. I just really hope your Dr can help you. Will you take your charts with you to help him/her figure it out?
