Thought I'd get this party started. Here's the stats: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1sHG9PPsOs0yIqgR-o2UXX_fdlCQXdVNLfmPpNOePPjQ/edit

May this bus yield many BFPs! Hoorah!

Glad they've set one up for Monday sammy, it will happen, try and keep strong and positive xx

DizzyMerry · 30/10/2015 12:17

It must be so frustrating sammy but keep going you will get there Flowers

We're going to watch a fireworks display on Sunday and I'm ridiculously excited. I cannot wait!!! Thankfully DD is equally as enthusiastic or it wouldn't be happening Grin Tonight DH and I are having a quiet night in watching a movie. Tomorrow my niece and nephew will be over so it's quite a busy weekend. I appreciate these little things so much more now and cherish every moment with loved ones.

DontBeAThoughtlessBirdie · 30/10/2015 12:28

Glittery!! It's just the best news Thanks Brew xx

So great to hear your BFP news too, Beaut!

Sammy, I won't wish you a happy birthday as it's clear you are not happy, but you are not broken and, some day soon, your birthdays will be happy ones Thanks xxx

Mummyofonesofar · 30/10/2015 12:29

There is a huge free fireworks display every year in the city near us, was hoping to go again this year BUT for some reason they are doing it tomorrow night Sad asked DS if he would rather go to the amazing fire show he loved so much last year which has a fair, candy floss, bonfire etc or walk around in the cold trick or treating... You can guess which one he picked Sad so we will be trick or treating in the rain in our very small village where hardly anyone opens the door.

Hairstylisttoboris · 30/10/2015 15:09

Wow massive congrats for the BFPs!

How exciting. ladies I'm really sorry but I'm taking a break from mumsnet for a bit. I'm sure most of you will understand - I just need to step away. Good luck to you all and I'll stalk occasionally to check for BFPs!

Beansprout30 · 30/10/2015 15:46

What cycle were you on glittery?

Finally got my appointment with clinic, early Jan! After waiting since July ffs.

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 16:23

Sorry you've had such a frustrating time sammy, hoping it's better news on Monday!

Nervous yay for the weekend! I'm off to watch football tomorrow then going to a fireworks display on Sunday evening. I will of course find plenty of time to OPK and obsessively analyse my body's every change and twinge for signs of ovulation Grin Are you up to anything fun?

Hello to all the people on here I've not met before! Smile

Mummyofonesofar · 30/10/2015 16:41

magpie Hi! Sorry I am on the FB group but don't post much here now, just read through and check in every now and again waving my pom poms Smile

Pixa · 30/10/2015 16:43

Just a massive congratulations to Glittery and Beaut! Eskimo am I allowed to rejoin the FB group? I left it ages ago when I took time off of Bumsnet. Blush

nervoussam · 30/10/2015 16:49

Hi magpie that sounds like a good weekend, (OPKs included!).

We will be doing more packing, and we have the glamorous task of filling a skip with crap from the garage in preparation for our move. But will mix it up with lunch with my SIL tomorrow and meeting some of my closest friends on Sunday for a drink post packing. Sounds horrible, but they are childless too, so it will be nice to have a few hours of switching off from all the current stresses.

xxxx

eskimoflo · 30/10/2015 17:05

Sammy Your follicles are leading you a bit of a dance aren't they. Flowers Surely they'll have to do something soon? Can't the clinic give you something to make you ovulate? Or is that the point of the natural cycle? (I think I just answered my own question, sorry. Blush I know nothing about these things... They can't just stay like that forever though can they. One way or another, something will happen! I do sympathise with the limbo though; I really do. It's just horrible waiting. x x

Pixa Yes, please come back! Are you on my friends list? If not, send me a request and I'll add you. If you can't remember who I am, PM me :D

mummy I'm off to that fireworks display you speak of! We're up north until Sunday so I was pretty chuffed that they're doing it a week early this year as it means we can go! I've not been to it for about 10 years so it'll be a real treat. Sorry you're stuck with treat or treating though, that sucks.

boris I get it, I've been wondering whether to take some time away again too. But I feel lost without Mn and keep floating back to it. Hope the time out makes you feel better.

glittery I hope the rest does you good. Will the high bp pass or is it something that will be present throughout your pregnancy?

bean that's shit you've had such a long wait but at least you've got the appointment booked now so you can Relax and enjoy Xmas. January will be here in a flash!

sammy hopefully there'll be some better news for you on Monday. Hope you've got some lovely things planned for this evening and the weekend to take your mind off things.

Just been to the loo and saw a big blob of ewcm (unless it's semen from yesterday but I thought most of that had come out already!). This is annoying because DP won't want to dtd for at least a couple of days now....ffs!

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 17:42

boris sorry you're feeling like you need a break, but of course we totally understand. X

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 17:56

Dizzy I always struggle to tell the difference, I read something about EWCM being stretchier but I've never figured it out. Can you try seducing your DP with talk of EWCM? Wink

loopylou1984 · 30/10/2015 18:09

Thanks everyone, we've had a good day in the end, do bought me a whole new outfit to wear tonight. He is taking me out for dinner, but won't tell me where!

So this morning I had no dominant follow, yet this afternoon my ppl looks like this, which would usually mean a positive opk in a couple of days.... How can that be if my body is no where near ready to ovulate??

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 18:29

That's confusing sammy, maybe your body is working towards ovulation? Can you ask your clinic?
Hope you have a lovely evening in your new outfit SmileThanks

ThePug · 30/10/2015 18:30

Two bumsnet bfps in two days! Big congratulations to beaut and glittery ! So who's testing tomorrow then?! Grin Longtimers please don't get disheartened that it isn't you yet - everyone's turn will come [hugs]

boris sending you special hugs and positivity

sammy Happy Big Birthday! I know just how you're feeling today; I hope you have a lovely dinner out with DH and I'm sure you'll look stunning in your new outfit. I'm afraid I don't know enough about follicles to understand how the scan fits with your opk, but maybe you'll be surprised on Monday and in line with your opk line a nice big one will be there ready to pop out? Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

eskimo Sounds like you've been putting your half term holiday to great use! I hope all your homework gets you the results you deserve Smile

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 18:42

Have a wonderful night sammy, sounds exciting!

Kirjava · 30/10/2015 18:43

Hey pug how are you lovely?

I'll test again tomorrow probably, if af still hasn't shown up. Will probably make an appearance overnight though.

DontBeAThoughtlessBirdie · 30/10/2015 18:45

Sammy, aren't you one of the Bumsnetters who has been known to ov (according to FF) up to three days after the positive opk? If that's the case (and, actually, even if it isn't, because studies show that temping is only accurate 34% of the time in terms of pinpointing ovulation using the nadir theory) then ovulation could be 4-5 days away.

Furthermore, we only know a little about follicle growth rates on this forum as you are our pioneer of multiple-scan follicular phase monitoring. I like the look of that opk....don't lose hope.

Pixa, we'd love to see you back on t'FB group. I'm so sorry I haven't read your blog yet, I'm just waiting for an evening where I'm not collapsed in a pathetic heap in bed, snoring by 8pm Blush

Boris, I'm sorry you feel so despondent Thanks

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/10/2015 19:12

sammy that is a little ray of hope you've been blessed with on your birthday! Enjoy getting dolled up in your new outfit for tonight!

bird what is the nadir theory and why is the accuracy rate so low? Is this to do with when you see a slow rise?

magpie I didn't need to in the end, he randomly called me through into the bedroom because he had a boner, and now my sperm is in situ!! Grin I reckon he felt sorry for me because earlier on I mentioned the fact that there's been 3 bfps in the space of a week. Fx for ov now.

Stay positive kir!

Mummyofonesofar · 30/10/2015 19:20

DizzyN so jealous!!! Please enjoy it for me too. So gutted as I even had a row with DP because he wanted to stay home and watch the rugby World Cup final but I insisted we had to do and now DS isn't interested Sad

sammy fingers crossed your next scan is positive if your body is getting ready. No idea how quickly the insides reflect the hormones. Enjoy your birthday night out lovely - sounds very exciting!

MagpieCursedTea · 30/10/2015 19:40

Excellent work DizzyN you little minx!

chopsface · 30/10/2015 19:54

Sorry you didn't get good news today sammy :-(

Hugs Boris x

lilygirl81 · 30/10/2015 21:49

I'm sorry to have been so quiet and then pop up with problems, but nowhere else to turn. I just got baby bombed, badly.
My sister, who has never fancied having kids, just announced she is expecting twins. I couldn't help it, I burst into tears. I couldn't explain that I had a mc last week, just had to desperately insist that I was happy for he'd, which I am, I genuinely am. It's just such a shock, I thought she really didn't want any.
I don't know what to do, should I try and get her alone this and explain? She was really confused and concerned by my reaction, I want her to know that it's nothing to do with her, that I can't wait to be an aunt and I'm over the moon for her and BIL, it's just like a dagger to me right now.
