Hello, we are trying to conceive and thought I would join the forum for support. I can't really understand what people are saying though! ??
Can someone point me to a thread that explains the abbreviations or just let me know if possible please? What is CD1, what is OPK, what is SMEP etc etc.... Appreciate any help!

SMEP is Sperm Meets Egg Plan. Originally designed to help couples after miscarriage many couples use it to assist with managing time to the best effect during the month.

CD1 is shorthand for Cycle Day 1 which is the first day of full flow of menstrual blood.

OPK is Ovulation Predictor Kit

DTD doing the deed. Also BD aka baby dance.

Just ask if there are any others you want explaining.

CD1 - cycle day one (ie. the first day of your cycle)
OPK - ovulation prediction kit
SMEP - Sperm Meets Egg Plan, a schedule for having sex over your fertile period.

Other common ones I can think of -

IC - internet cheapie, the cheap test sticks you can buy in bulk online
DTD - do the deed!
AF - Auntie Flow, a period
BFP - big fat positive (test)
BFN - big fat negative
TTC - trying to conceive

This forum can be a bit intimidating at first with all the ongoing threads, in jokes and abbreviations, but it's a very friendly place!
