Has anyone used metformin to aid with ovulation and got a bfp?

Hi, I have used Metformin prev for 6 months. Was on the lower dose (think it was 500mg per day) but unsure whether it helped with ov unfortunately as I was also put on a specific type of pill at the same time to try to regulate my cycles as I have PCOS and had been TTC without success for 2.5 years. Have had a break of 6 months and lost weight naturally, and they are now putting me back on Met on Friday at a higher dose in the hope that it will help with ov and getting a BFP. Are you on Met at the moment?
