We have been so busy chatting I've started a new thread. Welcome all 10+ ladies. Hope we all have some luck on this thread.

Yes, I did one and it was negative. But say I ovd yesterday would the opk still be positive today? Xx

lucieloos · 18/10/2015 22:12

Maybe not but I really don't think you would have ov'd that early, you never have before so I'm sure it's going to be fine.

loopylou1984 · 19/10/2015 06:53

Ok so temp still low this morning! Phew!
So my next worry is that I'm going to have some kind of weird second bleed, head boons, cramps and the headache I woke up with all suggest af is on her way...

loopylou1984 · 19/10/2015 07:15

Head boons????
That was meant to say sore boobs! Lol. Xx

loopylou1984 · 19/10/2015 18:32

Right now I'd put money on AF arriving tomorrow based on how I'm feeling. I'm so scared this is going to be another false start cycle :(. Xx

Trixielilac11 · 20/10/2015 09:45

Sorry I've been awol, for some reason the thread keeps disappearing off my watch list.
Try not to worry Sammy, I think during a cycle we pay far more attention to our bodies than usual, my boobs were quite sore the other day and I'm no where near ov. Easier said than done but try to relax. How are you feeling today?

Sali, like Lucie said, a private clinic won't turn you away regardless of how long you have been trying. We did our first cycle after trying for 18 months.

Not much to report here, would love a post CP BFP but DH is working crazy hours at the moment so finding time to DTD may be hard.

Salimali15 · 20/10/2015 10:04

Talking of DTD - I'm really fed up of it! It comes to something when my parents refused to visit and stay over because Mum worked out it was the prime time in my cycle!

loopylou1984 · 20/10/2015 11:14

I'm ok, still feel crampy, although my boobs aren't as sore. Not even a hint of a positive opk yet though.
The only thing that's worrying me is that my temp went up this morning, but I can't have ovd without a positive opk can I?? Xx

Trixielilac11 · 20/10/2015 11:28

How much did it go up by? I haven't used OPKs for ages, I have a really short surge so I did miss it a few times when I was using the CBFM but with cheapies I would always see something.

loopylou1984 · 20/10/2015 11:56

Went from 36.3 to 36.58. I normally get at least 2 days of positive opks...

Trixielilac11 · 20/10/2015 12:24

Do you think you could be coming down with something, would explain the high temp and symptoms.

loopylou1984 · 20/10/2015 13:58

Hmmm maybe. I just spoke with the nurse and she said there was no point coming in today, if we've missed ov then we've missed it. I just have to wait until tomorrow's appointment. Xx

loopylou1984 · 21/10/2015 19:13

Had my scan today and my lining is at 6mm and follicle at 14mm.
She said that on my baseline I had a 14mm follicle (or cyst as she kept calling it) so they can't be sure if this is a new growing one or the original one not growing. Have another scan Friday morning.

She said if the original 14mm has shrunk back that could have caused the pain. Xx

Trixielilac11 · 22/10/2015 10:13

Hope your scan goes well tomorrow Sammy. That's interesting what they said about the 14mm follicle, would explain why we get funny cramps at unusual times in our cycles.

Grin at your parents Sali! We've got my Dad staying tonight and tomorrow night so stayed up last night waiting for DH to come home so we could DTD.

lucieloos · 22/10/2015 19:26

Good luck tomorrow Sammy. Hope it all goes well.

Salimali15 · 24/10/2015 16:19

Hope all went well yesterday Sammy.

We had our appointment at the private clinic today. We're going back on the 4th November to have a pre-treatment meeting re. IUI. The consultant said that this is the best thing to try at this stage so we're going to give it a go; hopefully we will get one in before Christmas. It feels so good to actually feel that we are taking a step forward.

Trixielilac11 · 24/10/2015 17:16

Great news Sali!

How did you get on yesterday Sammy?

Waves to Lucie Smile

loopylou1984 · 24/10/2015 17:29

Not very well really. The 14mm had disappeared and there wasn't really anything else looking promising.
They had me back this morning for another scan and this nurse agreed that lining was good quality but measuring thinner than yesterday and no dominant follicle to see. The thing that had her confused though was that I got a faint line on opk this morning (so glad I took a photo to show her!). Apparently it doesn't tie up. Basically I have to go back Monday for another scan and if linings thick enough and I get a surge then all is good, but if I get a surge and linings not thick enough then it's game over. So we're back to waiting. :(. Xx

loopylou1984 · 24/10/2015 17:29

Sali - great news that you have a plan in place :). Xx

Trixielilac11 · 25/10/2015 13:47

Have you done an OPK today Sammy? What cycle day are you on? I hope you get good news tomorrow, have everything crossed for you.

Figgygal · 25/10/2015 14:59

Hey all

Can I join/throw myself a pity party

Ttc 2nd have an almost 4yo DS who was conceived in 6 weeks its been 10 months and AF arrived today. I've been online and bought some opks I'm already on trying for a baby vitamins. My cycles are all over the place having gone from a regular 28 day cycle to a cycle over the last year which fluctuated between 24 and 33 days having seemingly settled now on 24 for the last 3 months.

I'm a couple months shy of 35 and so after many tears the drs this month checked bloods and hormone levels were normal and I seem to be ovulating. I don't know where to start with being more strategic in this other than tracking (which isn't working). Welcome any tips you ladies have and wish luck to you all in this shared endeavour

loopylou1984 · 25/10/2015 20:49

Trixie - I'm cd15 now, and opks have had the same barely there lines. I'm nervous about tomorrow, but almost resigned to it being a no go. I just can't see it working out.

Welcome Figgy - sorry to hear you're struggling for no.2
Do you temp? If not might be worth a go to check ovulation, you could be mis-timing.
Also another good test would be your AMH to check your ovarian reserve, but you may need to pay privately for this as you have a child already. Xx

Sunshinegirl2015 · 26/10/2015 07:31

Hello! Was hoping I wouldn't have to joint this thread but here I am. CD4 of cycle 10 TTC. Hello!

I'm 27, DH 28. TTC #1

loopylou1984 · 26/10/2015 08:12

Welcome sunshine, although sorry you've had to join us.
Have you had any investigations yet? Xx

Sunshinegirl2015 · 26/10/2015 12:16

Sammylou have had one internal transvaginal ultrasound which fhowed that everything appeared to be fine except that I had a lot of fluid in my pelvis. They weren't sure what this could be or what caused it so I'm booked to have another scan at some point to see if the fluid is still there or if my body has absorbed it.
