Hmm that's interesting Trixie, maybe I have ovd today. We'll see what temp does tomorrow! Xx

lucieloos · 14/01/2016 21:32

Thanks trixie Smile

I have been taking Cq10 for almost a year now and haven't noticed any side effects from it. It's meant to help give cells energy and therefore supposedly help with the egg dividing although as you aren't doing another collection at the moment Sammy maybe you could do without it. The one supplement I feel messed things up a bit for me is dhea. Lots of women find it gives them make follicles and eggs but it seemed to do the opposite for me!

We saw consultant again on Monday but have been told to give it another 6 months before we go back.

TTC for 22 months
MC at 4 weeks in July and another at 5 weeks in November
HSG all normal but ultrasound and bloods showed I don't ovulate every cycle.

Frustrated and fed up with it all and disappointed to still have no plan.

Pikz · 15/01/2016 06:47

That's interesting trixie... I always had very late OV so probably didn't notice but you absolutely could be right

Snow sorry for the wait. Really hoping you get a sticky bean soon

Sammy hoping for a high temp this morning for you

Good luck Lucie

Sending lots of love to you all.

lucieloos · 15/01/2016 09:09

Ahhh had my second scan this morning it went well. I still have 8 follies and they are all growing very evenly between 14-16mm. They are a little slower though and so I'm thinking won't be ready for trigger tomorrow which will mess up our plans a bit but I don't care if we get a good batch. I've emailed the doctor and hoping he will say another scan in Czech on Sunday with a view to triggering Sunday night.

Trixietwenty16 · 15/01/2016 10:05

All sounds really positive Lucie, a bit annoying that you may have to delay trigger but like you say, if you get a good batch of eggs it will be completely worth it!

Meant to add re the Cq10, it only lengthened my cycle by 3-5 days so not too bad and I sometimes think maybe I should just take it for the benefits and just accept a slightly longer cycle.

Welcome to the thread Snowberry, sorry to hear about your MCs and that you are having to wait, hopefully you have some good news before you have to go back.

loopylou1984 · 15/01/2016 12:29

Lucie that's so great!!! As you say, the delay doesn't matter as long as you get some good embies!
I'm going to leave the Q10 I think, I don't want to risk lengthening my cycles really.

Snowberry - sorry for the lack of plan. I know how frustrating it is to be told to go away and keep trying when you have absolutely no faith that that will happen Thanks

As for me, my temp was incredibly high this morning, but I'm not 100% convinced as I had very disturbed sleep. Will see what tomorrow brings. Xx

Snowberry86 · 15/01/2016 16:22

Thank you. I'm on cd26 today but has Hsg this cycle so am just waiting for af to hurry along so I can get cracking again next cycle.

bananafish81 · 15/01/2016 19:51

Lucie amazing news about your follies! Sounds like you should get a fab crop of eggs, and hopefully a couple of lovely blasts for the freezer. Safe travels to Czech and looking forward to more updates!

trixie I also know another lady seeing Dr G for immunes tx alongside her existing clinic. Her clinic do offer intralipids and prednisolone etc, but she has had several failed FETs and wants more thorough investigation. Dr G will leave no stone unturned to help you - certainly was the experience of my friend who’s now 10 weeks.

sammy keeping everything crossed for that temp rise!

BTW I have been taking CoQ10 for egg quality (along with DHEA, melatonin & resveratrol - plus a cocktail of other supplements, I’m bloody rattling), can’t say I’ve noticed any impact at all on my cycle length. If anything they’ve been getting shorter, ov has been creeping forward.

snowberry big hugs, so frustrating and disappointing to be left in limbo Flowers

Had my scan this afternoon - I trigger tomorrow, and EC booked for Monday morning.

Cannot believe that with my barely detectable AMH I have 15 follicles!

14 good ones (most @ 18mm, a few @ 16mm, and one big fella @ 20mm), plus one 12mm tiddler.

Consultant is reasonably confident that with 14 decent follies (plus the 6 frozen eggs from last time), that we will have enough embryos to get something to blast.

Lining is looking less spectacular - triple line, but only 7.2mm, so am to start the Progynova tomorrow. He will obv measure the lining on Monday, and then wants to scan me again towards the end of the week. If he’s not happy with it, we’ll have to freeze-all and try to build up the lining in a medicated FET.

Absolutely thrilled with the eggs, though will be gutted if we don’t make it to transfer again - desperately hoping the Progynova works its magic!!

Thinking thickening thoughts!!!

loopylou1984 · 15/01/2016 20:21

I have thrush :(
Do we think that could have delayed ov? X

loopylou1984 · 15/01/2016 20:23

Banana! Brilliant news on the follies!! What is your clinics cut off for lining? Mine would be thrilled with 7.2mm!
Someone on another thread has recommended selenium for lining thickness issues, I'm going to give it a go! Xx

bananafish81 · 15/01/2016 20:44

Thanks sammy!

You poor thing with the thrush :( I guess the stress could def contribute to delaying ov? Hope you feel better soon! Flowers

Today my Dr said he would be absolutely delighted with this kind of response from any patient, let alone someone with such (apparently) diminished reserves.

If we hit the jackpot and got 14 mature eggs from the good-sized follies, plus the 6 mature eggs from last time, that would be 20 eggs. Not bad for someone who the NHS would have written off!!

Consultant said minimum thickness was 7mm, but last time my lining regressed massively (from 7.6mm on the Friday, so 6.4mm at EC on the Monday morning). So if it goes backwards again, we don’t have much wiggle room. So hoping the oestrogen tablets help to give it a kick up the arse!

Deffo try selenium! Have you tried L’arginine or vitamin E? Have The book ’It starts with the egg’? has quite a bit about what to take to support endometrial lining - they all help to support blood flow. Hoping you get a nice juicy endometrium for your frostie!
xx

lucieloos · 15/01/2016 20:56

Banana, amazing news about your follicles! What day of your cycle are you on now?

Sammy, sorry to hear you have thrush. I'm not sure if I've heard it delaying ov but I haven't really looked into it before so it could well do!

I'm a little worried that my follicles are growing to slowly now? The last couple of days the bigger ones have only grown 1mm a day and I think it's supposed to be 2mm ideally. I really need them to have a good growth spurt by Sunday and be 18mm+

OP posts:
bananafish81 · 15/01/2016 21:55

lucie I'm day 11 today - had done 9 days of stims before my scan, did my 10th dose this evening.

Sounds like yours are growing nice and steady - last time I had a couple of 15mm follies the day before I triggered, that had a growth spurt and ended up yielding mature eggs. Come on eggies!

Thanks banana, hoping for a good growth spurt. Trigger will be Sunday evening at the earliest so hoping there's time!

lucieabd banana it's also exciting!

I'm taking selenium as part of my cocktail of vitamins reccomended by Dr purdiepie.

I've got my plan through from the Czech republic. Just need to agree dates with DH and get the prescription. DH can't be with me the whole time as he will need to be back in the UK at the weekend for his kids which is making logistics more complicated. Anyhow we will possibly go feb or March. It's cold out there right now lucie have you packed your thermals?!!

BorisIsBack · 16/01/2016 08:36

sammy I'm so sorry about thrush. What a nightmare you didn't need. I have no experience of how it might affect things but realy hope you get it sorted and are ok. I know I dont know you in real life but you abd your future baby are often in my thoughts and prayers. You will get there. X

lucieloos · 16/01/2016 08:47

Thanks Boris, that's brilliant news about your protocol. I'm very excited for you! What have they put you on? What is your amh like? I'm just about to start my packing as we are leaving this afternoon but got lots of jumpers and warm layers on my list. Looks like there's snow on the ground there from the pics I have seen. Can't wait to get out there for the food though haha there's some yummy places Smile

BorisIsBack · 16/01/2016 08:57

Thanks lucie I'm so excited for you! Have you told your work what you are doing? My aMH is not bad for an old bird its 17. They have me on 200 units of Gonal f from cd 2. I don't know what that means though :)

lucieloos · 16/01/2016 10:21

No I haven't told anyone at work about any of my treatment. You should do well on 200iu Gonal with your amh. It's an average dose, I started on around that. The first round they use to see how you respond. Hopefully it will be well but if not they can up the dose for the next round. Do you know which doctor you have?

OP posts:
BorisIsBack · 16/01/2016 10:42

Thanks lucie I'm not planning on telling my work either. Hoping to manage without needing to. How did you get on with the 200ui Gonal? Did you also take from day two with a different drug at CD 7 or so? Was your egg collection as planned?

bananafish81 · 16/01/2016 10:44

That sounds great Boris, that's a really nice starting dose

I was started on a sledgehammer dose because of my FSH and AMH (450iu) although it was dropped down to 225iu and I've been on 150iu Gonal-F for the last 3 days of stims

With such cracking AMH you'll hopefully do really well on stims!

lucie brrr, wrap up warm! So excited for you

Started the HRT tablets to try and give my lining a kick up the arse.

Xx

BorisIsBack · 16/01/2016 10:47

Thanks ladies for all your wisdom. It's such a comfort. Let's hope the HRT does the job for you banana.
What are the side effects of Gonal F? I've watched online videos of how to inject, looks simple enough?!
