What will the doctors do?

So a bit if background...
last period 24th july
Im sure i ov'ed between 20th -25th august ...
1 very small patch of brown blood on 1st september
1 positive pregnancy test in the 14th september ... the 2nd line appeared within seconds with colour
no positive test since
no AF

DH wants me to go to the doctors ... but what will they do ... another urine test which will come back negative like all the rest ive taken since the 1 positive one? I really dont want to look like an idiot
any one have any experience of what will happen?

They will probably do a blood test which tests for different hormones
The hormone that is detected in a urine pregnancy test (HCG) drops after a while which may be why your tests are coming back negative now.
I'm sure someone with more knowledge than me will confirm!

No experience but the doctor will probably do a blood test. I agree with your dh. You should go and get checked out.
