Good evening

being a bit thick here - according to my "app" which I used when I successfully used when conceiving my first child, I ovulated on Friday 25th Sept. (btw I have an 8month old). The last time I had sex before ovulation was Weds 23rd Sept and then on the saturday. We didnt do it on ovulation day. Im just wondering, do you think the sperm might have still made it to my egg. I am wating for my period to come which is apparently friday. I cannot remember any early signs of pregnancy last time as I had a kidney infection. I think a few weeks after I tested positive I started to have the metal taste etc. I do remember my stomach feeling like it was being pulled apart all the time. What do you think, if anyone can offer any advice? xx

Absolutely you could be pregnant. Sperm can live up to 5-7 days waiting for an egg inside you. You may not have any pregnancy symptoms so early. A lot of people don't. Period symptoms are the same as pregnancy symptoms so it can be impossible to tell. When are you due on?

It's still really early then. My last two cycles I had "symptoms" galore but not pregnant. This cycle I've had virtually nothing. Progesterone that is released when you ovulate causes these symptoms. Progesterone continues being produced after your period is due when you are pregnant rather than tailing off up jntil the placenta takes over and it causes a lot of real pregnancy symptoms too. That us why the first trimester tends to be worst as the placenta takes over at around 12 weeks.
I'm due on saturday. Fingers crossed we get our positives! X
