Just as above really. Still bf dd once or twice a day. Had regular periods since seven months. Does the remaining feeding mean I can't get pregnant or make it harder? Thanks

You can get pregnant when feeding. Breastfeeding can reduce fertility but only if you are solely breatfeeding, which you aren't.

If you're ovulating you can get pregnant, however you can be having periods but not ovulating.

It did me, I bf for a year, got my periods back after three months but couldn't conceive until I quit. I was charting and my luteul phase was consistently really short until I stopped feeding altogether.

I would say if you are still in peak fertility (before 35) then you'll probably be fine. Personally I was 38 and have only now managed to conceive with another viable pregnancy at 40.

I've conceived 3 x whilst breastfeeding each time only a couple of months after periods returned and contained to breastfeed till I was about 6 months pregnant each time - then gave my boobs a little rest for a couple of months Grin

  • continued not contained!

Hhm. I'm 36. I don't know if I'm ovulating
...Might try the test kits next month. I am having ewcm so I thought I was. Dd is now 26 months so I'm Def ready to stop if needed

I think all you can do is chart your ovulation and see whether your cycle is good. I didn't want to give up at a year but DS wasn't feeding much anymore and kept bobbing off the boob every time I put him on so he didn't care less.

I gave up end of Oct and then conceived in Dec but unfortunately it ended in miscarriage.

Oh sorry to hear that...the whole ttc journey is such a battle sometimes Flowers
