I have been TTC for about 18 months now. My cycle has been taking ages to settle down but is heading towards a proper pattern now. However, I have been referred to the hospital and 3 months ago saw a consultant who ordered a whole barrage of tests. I go back later this month for a likely prescription for Clomid, as there is nothing physically awry but the indications of ovulation are borderline at best.
This cycle I am getting the strongest indications of ovulation that I have yet seen. I have used an OPK which is showing strong results and have physical indications are strong as well. I had a funny feeling that this would happen in my last cycle before I sign up for treatment.
So a great time to dtd? Go all out to try and conceive this cycle?
Of course not. I have had to have a course of fluconazole to deal with a candida infection in my larynx. The information sheet says that birth abnormalities have been linked to long-term high dose usage.
I am only on a low-dose short term course of treatment, but it is not worth the risk, is it?
