How do you cope?

Been ttc since april time, af has finally regulated over last 3 months to a 25-27 day cycle with a 3 days af, but iv still not had a positive opk. Im due to hit my fertile period again tomorrow. This month me and oh have stepped up from twice a week to 4-5 times.

How do you all stop yourself going insane. I guess i mustv been one of them nauve ones that thinks itl happen straightaway even though i always thought it didnt bother me until month 3 of ttc when i tealisd i felt shit about it all.

I've also been officially ttc since April but been off the pill since January, so ttc 7 or 10 cycles depending on how you look at it. I know you have said ttc since April but how many cycles has that been?

Do you mean you haven't had a positive opk at all this whole time? Can I ask which opks you are using as some are more sensitive than others. For example this cycle I used the clear blue smiley face ones which are 40mlU and I never got a smiley face but on the day I most expected to get one CD15 I found I had one internet cheapy opk which was 20mlU and tried that and it went positive. I thought the clear blue might just take a day or two longer to catch up but I actually got to the end of the pack and never got a positive from it. Another thing are you testing more that once a day, because if you just test in the morning it can be very easy to miss your surge.

Also have you tried temping for a month to see if that can pick up your ov? Have you asked your doc if its too soon to get a blood test to see if you are oving? might give you some peace of mind if they will do it. I just registered for a new docs and asked the receptionist when I should come in and see the doc about ttc as I had been off pill since Jan and she said there wasn't an amount of time and if I was concerned to come in? Was surprised as thought she would definitely say at least a year.

Hopefully you will get lucky this month now youve increased you BD'ing, twice a week could easily be missing ov if your not sure when it is. When do you test? Good luck x
