TTC #1 coming off the pill in December - anyone else in the same boat?!

Hi,

I am going to be coming off the pill after ten years plus on it after my pack finishes in December. Excited but also terrified about what my body is going to do once I'm without all the hormones!

Anyone else doing the same roughly the same time?

Due Wednesday ish but it's always a bit random so could be anytime soon. I stupidly just did an afternoon test with dilute urine (not getting desperate at all) which was negative of course. Maybe I'll cave and do another tomorrow am. My soon to be out of date tests are disappearing fast!!

Lol, well it would be wrong to waste the tests

I'm sure they'd work perfectly fine next month but may as well get a new pack and use all these ones.

God, I need help - I've checked this test about 10 times. There's definitely no line and my eyes hurt from staring at it with my iPhone torch. I think I need rehab!!

I think, an hour on, I can see a line. It's probably an evap line isn't it??

Bergamot - I'm no expert but didn't want to read and run! Probably, could you upload a pic? X

I've added 3 pics. In the first it's against yesterday's to compare. It's the bottom one. It's so difficult to get a photo!

I think I can see it, yes! But I wouldn't know if it's an evap line or not but I can Deffo see something.

Anyone else see it?

Oh - and don't give yourself a hard time, I will be obsessing the exact same if not more when the time comes!

Bergamot I'm certainly not going to tell you off for obsessing.

I'm assuming you didn't see anything at all within the time limit? Most cheap tests will develop a line after a couple of hours, that's not to say they are evap lines but I'd test again first thing in the morning and post photos!!!

No, nothing in time limit. So it is probably evap line.

Eep! I've missed a lot! The testing is so exciting!! Can't wait for the first bfp!

AF is due on Friday for me (I think) and I'm symptom spotting like mad. I really want to hold on til Saturday to test but it's so hard to wait!

I see a line in the last one bergamot could be evaporation but you never know!

I'm feeling all in a panic because AF is 5-6 days late. I'm usually very regular (though cycle does seem to fluctuate between 31 and 32 days) and have never missed a period before. I can't be pregnant because I have the coil in and anyway don't feel any different from normal. Only weird thing was that I had some pink spotting last week that doesn't normally happen. It def wasn't AF as they are usually really heavy (thanks to the coil). Now I'm scared I've suddenly become infertile or developed pcos the month before we were going to start ttc.

Deep breaths. Still faint but within the time limit!! I think I might have my bfp.

I'm in a bit of a daze. Told DH who is unfazed / half asleep and said 'show me over breakfast' haha.

Deborah - I've heard of people getting pregnant with the coil - you could always do a test just to be sure?

Right, now to try to do everything I need to get to work on time!!

I think this may end up being a very unproductive work day which is a bit difficult as a teacher. DH isn't convinced by the test - he thinks the line is too difficult to see but think he's excited anyway. I just hope it sticks!

Well I'm miffed, I've had the same non committal, almost invisible line today that I had yesterday. Might even be a bit lighter today the line is so feint that I really had to convince OH it was there. I'm starting to think that the Superdrug Tests always have the shadow of a line and I'm just losing it
I'm going to do a FRER tomorrow but I'm not holding out much hope any more.

By the way, we're going to need a new thread soon... We should think of a name for our little group!

Don't forget that it's still early days to get a positive runner. Are you 11dpo? I'm 13dpo today and the line is still very difficult to see.

I think a FRER is the way to go. I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Yep, I'm 11dpo so I know you're right and it's early. I just expected a slightly darker line than yesterday and if anything it's a bit lighter.
Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow. I think OH thinks I'm mental. He wasn't expecting us to get upduffed in the first month and I don't think he'd be upset if this turns out to be a false alarm.
I still have all the same symptoms I had before and my temp is still elevated so I guess I'll just have to wait...

Off to boots to get some FRERs later.
