other reasons for sore boobs

AF is due in the next couple of days. Last week I was getting cramps, and feeling very dizzy when I got up in the morning. Had increasingly sore boobs for the last few days and still the odd cramp. Neg pg test this morning (one of the ones that tests for low levels of hcg). What are all the other reasons for these symptoms (help me to get my hopes down please!).

No, usually no symptoms (except spots, and got them all through pg too).

Zerub, I usually get very sore boobs before af, sometimes they hurt after ovulation, sometimes a few days before af and sometimes not at all! I can also feel dizzy, sick, tired etc. all the same symptoms as being pregnant and sadly all the same symptoms to indicate af is on the way. Try not to think about the symptoms too much, believe me, it does your head in!

Kittie, from the little bit of research I've just done on the internet... Pg tests look for the HCG hormone. You start producing this when the egg implants. Implantation happens between 6 and 11 days after ovulation. If you implant early then you might have enough HCG to show up on a normal preg test (like ClearBlue) 2 days before AF. But if you implant late then maybe not till 3 days after AF, or so. And some women don't produce quite so much HCG, so fast, so it would be even later.

So we could be pg. Or we could both be having a hormonally-wierd month. If I'm not pg I wish my AF would hurry up and arrive. The suspense is horrid. I don't even mind that much either way - I just can't bear not knowing!

Thanks for the info. I just want to know either why myself. i'm going away in a few weeks time and want to know before I go. I think i'm going to go to gp if af hasn't arrived by friday. I have only done the stick test cheap ones. What test did you do?. Also i did it in the afternoon so i might try the a.m. test. have you done yours in the a.m.?. well lets hope we both find out soon.
