I'm in the tww 10dpo at the moment and I stupidly tested with afternoon urine today and got a bfn Sad
I feel really different and want to list my symptoms so you can all let me know what you think because I'm feeling a bit confused!

Sore nipples, heavy boobs, completely exhausted (fatigue), itchy eyes and stuffy nose like hay fever, pinching and pulling pains around my belly button, cramps ovaries, heightened sense of smell, really dry mouth and lips. I also have a strange burny sensation in my vagina a bit like a tampax that's been in too long!

So..sounds like possible symptoms? Anyone noticed any of these and got a bfp???

It's so hard not to over analyse in the 2WW isn't it? You know that 10dpo can be too early to get a positive, but that doesn't stop it being disappointing when you get a bfn. I know it's not what you want to hear, but the only thing you can do is wait until your period is due and test again if it doesn't show. Best of luck!

Jw35 · 20/09/2015 22:58

Thank you it's driving me crazy!

Yeah it's a tough wait! Hope time moves a bit quicker for you.

I have all of those symptoms and more due to the progesterone surge after ovulation. By logging and tracking those symptoms I now know it is all normal for me. I am determined not to symptom spot this cycle and wait until af is due before testing. It will be hard as it's the longest two weeks ever but I can try!

Jw35 · 21/09/2015 09:03

Oh really?! It's certainly not normal for me! I do get heavy boobs and feel bloated, I also crave sweet things. It definately feels different this cycle! I'm not craving anything sweet either

It wasn't normal for me until 3 months ago. Or I just didn't notice. At the end of the day, hcg causes pregnancy symptoms. When you start producing hcg you get a bfp. You don't have hcg until implantation which occurs 6-12 dpo. This is why the earliest bfp is 8 dpo as it takes a couple of days for the hcg to be high enough to trigger the pregnancy test. If you're getting bfn you don't have the hcg level to give you any symptoms of pregnancy.
It's just progesterone messing with you and you being hyper aware of every little thing. It happens to us all when ttc but the science behind it is that you cannot feel pregnancy symptoms so early on. That is my conclusion anyway. Doesn't stop us all poas every day from 8dpo! Thank you internet cheapies!

Jw35 · 21/09/2015 14:04

Ok! I understand your point..BUT when I got pregnant last year (my baby is 9 months tomorrow) I had loads of symptoms from 4dpo and was convinced I was pregnant and I was right then!

I could be wrong and I'm sure it is progesterone that causes the symptoms but I did read you have more of this when the egg is fertilised! I will update this post when I do a test anyway as I know how frustrating it is when there's no conclusion!
Thanks for your thoughts

Your body doesn't know if the egg is fertilised until it implants. I had no idea I was pregnant with my first. The last two cycles I was convinced I was pregnant. Being convinced you are pregnant is psychosomatic because you know you dtd and could be.

Jw35 · 21/09/2015 14:53

I think that's debateable but thanks

I never had any eay pregnancy symptoms at all. If the test said BFP, then I knew I was pregnant, otherwise clueless.

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 21/09/2015 14:57

*early

tessiegirl · 22/09/2015 20:08

The only new symptom I had the month I conceived was lower back pain and the fact I hadn't started spotting a few days before AF was due...

Good luck!!

Brilliant!! Congratulations xxx

MrsSantaClause · 25/09/2015 07:01

Congratulations-I'm like you, going crazy symptom spotting! Thing is I have no idea where I am in my cycle as didn't get any periods with the coil. I think I am just being super sensitive and a bit mental thinking I could be, although I do feel different. It's a funny old thing isn't it, ttc? Confused

Jw35 · 25/09/2015 08:04

Thank you! Smile very happy but it's going to be tough! My baby will only be 17 months when this one arrives!

Yes the tww is very hard when you have symptoms. People say you can't know but I knew with my last pregnancy and I thought I was with this one! You can't know for sure obviously so it drives you mad! Good luck for your bfp!
