How long for pill to get out my system!!!

Hi All

I'm new to all this but have been reading away for over an hour and there is heaps of interesting stuff and lots of great people on here.

Me and my dh have decided that we are ready for a baby Woo Hoo - I'm sooo excited. I have stopped taking my pill and started on the old folic acid tabs. i'm just wondering if anyone has a rough idea of how long the pill takes to get out your system.

I mean i know of people getting pregnant after only missing their pill for a few days. I know everyone is different and our bodies all react differently.

This is such a big step for dh and me and i just long to be pregnant - a feeling that a guess you guy share.

I went off in June and still no luck some people right away some take 3 months to regulate, it took 3 months to regulat for me. So here I am and no luck yet, everyone is different. Some say right away but for me it took 3 months with number 3 that was 13 years ago and then 2 more to get pg. Good luck.

i stopped taking pill in the sept and preg in the oct. i was on the mini pill

congrats to you!!!That sounds really quick, here is hoping it happens soon. My DH thinks all his birthdays have come at once and no doubt will want us to be trying for a bit longer lol

Hi IRFB its a question with no easy answer as everyone is different.
I stopped the pill at the end of July and from the charting and CM signs (sorry TMI) I was very fertile but we got the days wrong. Since then I have had lesser fertile symptoms.
What I would suggest is to have rather a lot of nookie after you come off it as some people can be super fertile as their natural body kicks in. Also be prepared to be patient as I think I am one of a number of women on here who have been on the pill a while and are potentially waiting for its effects to wear off.
Some do things like plug up the cervix and help with acne so it can be a big change coming off it.

I stopped taking Aug and got pregnant in October. Recommendation is allow 3 months before trying but that's mostly to see if your periods get back in to a proper cycle i think. Go for it and have fun!

I once had a doctor tell me 24 hours, otherwise we wouldn't need to take it every day.

Took me 6 months from taking my last pill to concieving.
