Apologies in advance about asking this...I'm sure I know the answer but just need you all to make me accept it!

We're NTNP and coming up to AF last month I had lots of pregnancy symptoms...most particularly nausea that only gets better by eating shedloads of food, extreme bloating, big tender boobs, swollen cervix and generally really felt like the last time I was pregnant.

However, I came on as normal and scoffed at myself for being daft.

During the following month, all the symptoms continued with the nausea getting worse. About a week before I was due on I started getting cramps and very slightly brown tinged CM which got me wondering again. The upshot is that I tested yesterday (day before I was due on) and it was negative, of course. But I've still no really come on and it's barely more than spotting. Light red though. I was half expecting a really bad period to make up for a dodgy cycle.

So, I'm not pregnant, am I? If I were I would be 8 weeks so would definitely get a positive wouldn't I? I'm still massively bloated...so much that I'm having to employ techniques to hide my stomach before anyone starts quizzing me if I'm pregnant!

To give you a bit of background, we have one DS born through IVF (unexplained fertility) but had fallen pregnant naturally before this and miscarried. I do have a low AMH so is it possible I'm peri-menopausal? Or perhaps it's an annovulatory cycle?

Go to the GP...

Could the first cycle have been a chemical pregnancy? Might account for the continuing symptoms but recent negative result.

Sorry I don't have the answers but if you're getting a negative now then you're probably not 8 weeks pregnant.
