Dying hair when ttc

Does anyone know what the rules are on this? I have some greys around the front which I do a root touch up job on. I use the clairol root touch up. However we have recently started ttc and I don't know if I should stop or switch to a more natural type of colour, like henna. Anyone offer any advice? Thank you

Advice suggests avoid dying your hair before you are 12 weeks pregnant but even that is a grey area (ber dum dum cheWink) they doubt the chemicals would cause harm anyway if you do it in a well ventilated place and by 12 weeks they think there's no risk.

I dyed mine when I got my period every 1-2 months as you definitely know you're not pregnant then.

If you do due when pregnant, make sure you do a patch test apparently you can react differently when pregnant.

I have had grey hairs since a young age and so I just have to do it. I have researched online and I think it is alright and they just advise a wait to be on the safe side. I really can't!

I dyed my hair all the way through my first pregnancy, from 12 weeks with my second, and not at all in my thirds. All babies were fine. Check the NHS choices website for current guidelines. My hairdresser said don't change from your normal brand, do a patch test each time 24 hours before, use in a well ventilated place, and keep off your scalp as much as possible.
