my friend is currently starting IVF treatment and has been told that she needs to drink at least a litre of milk a day.

Any ideas why?

No idea, no-one said anything about milk to me when was having IVF. Perhaps it's a pet theory of her doctor's.

I've never heard of this before and I'm something of an IVF veteran ...

Hi

Have read Dr Robert Winston's book (borrowed from library) - nothing noted about this. Great book - maybe too much info. as can imagine all sorts of things going wrong prior and during treatment, but if you want to be informed, a great read. Hope it helps.

My friend was told this too. I her third attempt which was private after 2 failed nhs treatments. It was from a clinic in london, maybe it was the same place. Her third attempt was successful.

Never heard of that one. I'm on my 5th round of IUI which is just slightly different.
