Hi Everyone,
Im 35 and TTC for 2 years now. We have recently "upped" our activity and this month, my AF which is usually every 28 days - it never changes, came at day 24. It was very dark brown, like old blood which is odd for me and was accompanied by really intense cramps. There looked to be (this is TMI SORRY) small bits of tissue, Ive had this bleeding for a week now- but its very light pink- normally a period is 4 days for me. I have my hycosy scan on Tuesday - I have a dull ache in my right side.....
has anyone had anything similar?
sorry for the very personal info - its just hard to know for sure whats happening .....

Firstly, without having a positive pregnancy test, I'd rule out miscarriage. Plus the timing of your bleed (day 24 of a 28 day cycle, any pregnancy producers are so minuscule - under the size of a poppy seed) that you'd not be aware of any chances. Possibly shedding slightly thicker womb lining, but that's about it.
Brown blood is old blood. It could be an implantation bleed. Or possibly an infection.
On another note, 2 years is quite a long time to be TTC. Have you sought some help? Have you had tests done to check you're ovulating and had a semen analysis on your partner's sperm.
Losing clots can and pain can be due to endometriosis, so it's worth getting checked out.
