I think it was from when we were all 'BOPping' and then we realised we shouldn't 'BOP' because the sperm could get stuck behind your cervix, so we stopped 'BOPping' but the name still stuck.

It's kind of terrifying at the moment as we have had two abandoned attempts, now going natural and my body doesn't seem to be playing ball. I'm so scared of tomorrow's scan and am having to go alone as it's at 12 and dh works too far away. There's no one else I'd want to take, not even my mum as we want to keep dates quiet this time for less pressure.

This is my last chance to be pg before I turn 30. Xx

I do believe Bumsnet was coined by oysterbabe's DH in a 'are you on that stupid bumsnet again?' way. You seem to have all lost the angry pubes (crosshairs) affiliation for now, somehow.

sammy - I know where you're coming from on the birthday seeming like a milestone without having achieved your goal. I turned 30 a few weeks after my mc, in fact the day after when my 12 week scan should have been and I should have been telling everyone we were having a baby. I spent the day in tears and generally distraught that I wasn't pregnant. Less than two months later, I got my bfp and (all being well) will have my baby before my 31st birthday! I have everything crossed for you, but turning 30 doesn't really change anything so please don't get too worked up about it.

glittery yeh hoping the acupuncture might help with short luteal phase, just feels good to be doing something cause the nhs are pretty fucking useless so far!!

Pug - it's a silly self imposed goal, which actually I have already missed because I always said I wanted 'my first child by the time I'm 30' - now that can't happen, the consolation is that ' I'll be pregnant by the time I'm 30' it's getting ever closer to that not happening either. It just makes me sad. Thank you though, I really will try not to go in to melt down.

Has anyone seen that prank on Facebook where people's statuses say something like 'well that explains why I have been putting on weight, I'm expecting a chubby little man in only 2 months time...' It tells you at the end that they're talking about Santa, but I nearly through my phone across the office when I thought a colleague had fallen pregnant accidentally and unknowingly! Xx
