Ok, not on. Stupid autocorrect!

WineSpider · 28/09/2015 21:50

Thank you for the welcome, I will try and keep up with everyone's stories.

AF arrived today so it's the usual mix of feeling down but the start of another go.

Flybynight1 · 28/09/2015 23:17

Nomio and Wine sorry to you both :-( but new starts are also a good thing in my book!! Out of limbo land and off to a world of new possibilities Star are you both back on BD this month? Planning anything differently or the same? More? Less? (On the off chance focusing on a plan will help get over any disappointment you might have xx)

This tww is doing my nut and it's only the first one!! Must chillax...

funnybeanz · 28/09/2015 23:36

Hi all would it be OK if join you all? We are ttc number 1, been off the pill since Jan but trying properly (being aware of ovulation etc) since about April. Finding this whole journey frustrating and a complete mindfield, who knew it would be this difficult!! I'm 33 and been with partner 5 years. We are so ready and everyone else seems to be getting pregnant so easily. We haven't told anyone we are ttc so it's nice to have some company on here Smile x

Moomin37 · 29/09/2015 06:16

Welcome funny this is a lovely friendly and supportive place Smile

Nomio really disappointed to hear your news Thanks

chopsface · 29/09/2015 07:46

Sorry about AF nomio :-(

Welcome to all the newbies and good luck!

Kirjava · 29/09/2015 07:52

Hello from Bali! Having an amazing holiday, but sadly won't be bringing back a little bean. Af started on Saturday so onto cycle 7.

Hope you're all ok. Have I missed any bfps? Back at the weekend.

nightandthelight · 29/09/2015 08:30

So sorry for AF nomio and kir Flowers

Welcome newbies and good luck :)

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/09/2015 08:51

Hi all!

nomio I was wondering how you were getting on. I'm so sorry af arrived. It's so unfair of it to toy with you like that. It probably was being ill that prolonged your cycle. At least you're out of limbo now and on to the next cycle! Hope you have a big glass of Wine later X

eskimo hi! I'm good thanks! Just enduring the tww and trying not to get my hopes up!

wine welcome and sorry for af. Wine for you too.

kir how rude of af to make an appearance on holiday! Oh well, at least you can relax and enjoy the rest of your hols without it playing on your mind now. Have fun!

Welcome funny, most of us are in the same boat, trying for several months or more. We're here when you need to vent!

I'm 5dpo according to FF. It moved my cross hairs from cd15 to cd16 over the weekend, which is much more satisfactory as we dtd on cd16 and 17 although hadn't done it before hand for several days. I can't help getting my hopes up as we never usually get the timing right. I know this is silly as some people get it bang on every month and don't get preggo. I need to stay realistic as otherwise I'm going to be very disappointed when af arrives!

I'm still pleased I've ovulated this early though after months and months of it being on cd18-20 or later. Part of me thinks this might be because work has suddenly calmed down so I had nothing to stress me out in the week before ov. But I'm also wondering (and this might be just a coincidence) whether it's anything to do with me reducing my intake of refined sugar? I used to have a bar of chocolate, sweets or cake every day (the old stereotype about police officers and donuts is soooo true!!!) but about a month ago I cut them out of my diet. As it happens I've also stopped having mood swings. Coincidence or not?

Sugar is the devil!!

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 08:58

Sorry for AF nomio kir andwine

eskimo I can't imagine how frustrating your cycles are, really hope this one works for you.

Welcome to all the newbies, hope your journeys with us are short.

I'm looking forward to the infertility blog pikz we need more of that kind of awareness raising and support.

I'm now 8 days from a fresh cycle and a chance to get back to baby making. DH is also getting his second SA next week, so we are moving ever closer to a referral for medical help. It feels like qrare progressing.

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 08:59

Apologies for the typos, I'm on my phone on MN mobile site, not app and I have big thumbs and am dyslexic. There is no hope for me being able to be comprehensible.

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 09:03

X post dizzyn cutting sugar is probably an excellent idea, I think diet has such a massive impact on health in so many ways we don't recognise... I forget do you temp? What does FF base its predictions on?

DizzyNorthernBird · 29/09/2015 09:38

boris how long will it take to get the SA results? Not long to go now until you can start getting some answers. If af comes for me this month I'm going to start putting pressure on DP to do his now rather than waiting until after Xmas as agreed, as I'd rather he did it now & if there is a problem we can start looking at next steps.

I agree about diet, but I think it affects different people in different ways. I'll continue restricting my sugar and see how the next few months pan out, it'll be interesting to see if my irregular periods settle down. Next step is to properly go gluten free, I know I've got an intolerance to it but lately I can't get enough of bread and pasta!

Yes I am temping, no opks but I monitor cm too. So far my temps post ov are following their usual pattern (slow rise & with a fall back) so I'm confident ov did happen when FF says it did this month. Plus probably for the first time ever my temp times are consistent, lots of solid circles!

lilygirl81 · 29/09/2015 09:46

Eskimo Hi, I'm doing pretty good, compared my dtd chart with last month, and so far we have managed on days 5,7 and 10, on day 11 today, and got the 2nd day of flashing smilie face on my cbfm. Ovia says I am in my window just now, but still got a few days until peak I think. Hoping that if we can carry on dtd every couple of days or so, then I might catch it this month.

Nomino & Kir sorry AF got you

How have people found the vit B tablets? I started them this cycle and seem to be ok on them. Got a cold starting though, so got lemsip to get me through the day; I have a meeting which is having to be done through an interpreter at lunchtime, so need to be on the ball for that!

Woolly84 · 29/09/2015 10:19

Morning ladies! Sorry for those who've been caught by AF Sad keep going, I know it's so frustrating month after month but it will happen, keeping my fx for all of you Flowers

pixa what a great idea to raise awareness Smile

Very jealous of Bali kir!

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 12:28

dizzyn it takes a week or so to get results (or at least it did with the last clinic which shut down) then we need to meet with our GP - I think we will me motoring in 3 weeks.

lily are you on vit b6 or vit b complex? I found the tablets added a couple of days to my cycle. Otherwise no side effects for me.

lilygirl81 · 29/09/2015 12:57

Boris I'm taking the vit b complex along with my conception vitamin

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 13:07

lily I hope they do what ever it is you need them too! If you get any pins and needles style symptoms stop taking them otherwise you should be good :)

lilygirl81 · 29/09/2015 14:31

Boris Thanks, my cycle lengths have been a bit all over the place, so was hoping that they might be able to get me to regularly being 10+ dpo before AF, as had a few time is was only 7 or 9 days. Having said that, I had my stupid long cycle last month, so who knows!!

Hairstylisttoboris · 29/09/2015 14:42

lily a combo of pregnacare, vit b complex and soy has lengtherned my lp. The soy isn't really recommendable unless you do some research of your own as it can mess up otherwise stable cycles. Good luck!

funnybeanz · 29/09/2015 15:24

Thanks for the welcome everyone. I'm sorry we are all on this journey but it's kind of nice to hear of people going through the same. I often feel very crazy as have no one to talk to about OPKS, temping, supplements etc etc, a whole new world!!

Very jealous of your Bali trip Kir, I was there this time last year when we first properly started talking about TTC! Wow a whole year ago. No holiday booked for this year as I naively thought I might be having/had/expecting a baby. Really must learn not to put life on hold for things I can't control!! Anyway thanks for the welcome everyone Smile

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 29/09/2015 16:44

Hi ladies.

Wow lots of new joiners on here

Sorry I haven't been on in a while I'm just feeling disheartened with the whole ttc. I had my bloods done last week & they said I need to get my second lot done on day 4 of Af. I wasn't sure when Af was going to arrive so I need to book the appointment.

Af is just showing the first signs now so I'm guessing tomorrow will be cd1. I don't think I will take soy again as it doesn't change ovulation for me it just lengthens my cycle. Any ideas on what else I could try?

Are we doing our own stats now
BeauticianNotMagician81, 34, ttc#4, cycle 13, BFP due 31st October Smile

eskimoflo · 29/09/2015 20:29

Welcome funny Smile

Sorry for AF nomio kir and wine Sad Angry

Hope you are feeling more upbeat soon beaut You're allowed to get disheartened sometimes. Flowers

What are you wanting to try and do? Lengthen your cycle? I've heard some stories about Agnus Castus, but I think it's really very powerful, so you'd have to do your research.

So it's CD14 for me. We DTD last night. I know I said I wasn't tracking anything this time around, but I've just been for a poo (sorry) and seem to have a huge amount of jelly-like stuff down there. It's completely clear and looks like the jelly from a pork pie! Seriously, I've never had such thick stuff before. I don't think it's sperm from last night, as my DH's sperm is quite yellow, and this is completely see through, and stretches for inches! I thought I'd have EWCM before, but this seems extreme. It's really thick. I am quite sore down there though Sad and had to apply some thrush cream this morning, as it hurt quite a lot. I'm hoping that this won't affect anything. Still desperately trying not to get up my hopes for this round of clomid, but it's a bit difficult not to now... Hmm

BeauticianNotMagician81 · 30/09/2015 07:03

Eskimo I wanted to try and improve or bring on ovulation as I think I'm not ovulating. My periods are always every 31 days though & all soy has done is lengthen my cycle to 33 days. Perhaps I should try one more month. I don't know I suppose I'll know more after my blood tests

DizzyNorthernBird · 30/09/2015 10:19

If it were me beaut I'd probably stop them and wait until after I had test results. There's no point in messing up cycles which are already regular.

eskimo could the Meds finally be working their magic? Thrush is awful though, I can't see how it would affect you other than just causing you a nuisance for a few days.
