Thanks Nomio hopefully af does not show up for you, we went on holiday with our friends who have a little baby and they were up early every morning with her, made me appreciate the lay ins I'm still able to have!!

Sammy yeah thanks, was pretty painful this month, that is so un fair and such a waste of money that you can't use your frozen embryos for the ohs round!! fx you won't need them though

Dizzy thanks Dizzy, not in any pain today but feel really tired!! fx the egg stuck around for you!!

Cairo welcome to the board, don't think iv said hi to you yet, not long for dtd then, get as much dtd in as you can!!

Pixa · 26/09/2015 21:02

DizzyNorth I was similar with wedding planning, in the end we spent around £6K, we had a teeny family only ceremony, just 10 of us, and a bigger evening do. It was fab though. Try to enjoy it.

Flymo Only just seen that you asked about further tests. We have had 2 x SAs; we were told the first was a mess up at the lab but was actually just azoospermic, the second was to confirm diagnosis. Day 3 & Day 21 bloods, and also a blood test to check for immunisation against Rubella. A pelvic ultrasound to rule out PCOS was next. The results of the above should determine the next investigations. Hope that is useful.

For those that asked about the infertility stuff, we (my colleague helped) quickly wrote something about "What not to say"..
And I've also been questioning a CCG in Essex around their plans to cut fertility treatment funding. Depending on Monday, I might start a very open blog about the process. Really just praying for great news on Monday now.

loopylou1984 · 27/09/2015 07:46

nightandthelight · 27/09/2015 07:52

Hope the injection wasn't too awful Sammy Flowers

Great to hear your update pixa, a blog sounds awesome, you must let us know if you set it up :)

Arrived in Llandudno yesterday for a week, have a stinker of a cold but the weather is amazing so am going to enjoy myself regardless!

Sammy Wishing you so much look for this cycle!

WineSpider · 27/09/2015 09:50

Hi, just checking in here for the first time as you ladies seem a great support and source of knowledge.

I am 33 and TTC number 2. I have a 2 year old DD and had a miscarriage at 10 weeks in June. So far not caught again yet, finding it all quite hard when there are pregnancies everywhere!

Have had some tests done as things don't seem quite right - shortish cycles anyway with average 11 day luteal phase, but spotting from at least 4/5 days before that.

Af due yesterday but i ovulated earlier than expected so will give it another few days. Already cracked and got a BFN so resisting buying anymore tests for now. Not feeling anything in any case so just want AF to get on with it now so I can move on to the next cycle...

Hairstylisttoboris · 27/09/2015 09:55

sammy I'm keeping everything crossed for you...
wine welcome! Have you tried vit b complex? And or pregnacare? I have a short cycle and take pregnacare and soy isoflavins (for 5 days from cd4) and for short periods of time I take a high dose of vit bs. It's lengtherned my lp by about 36 hours and my cycle by 3-5 days. Don't take any supliments unless you do your own research obviously as sone of these like soy and vit bs can have side effects or can mess up an otherwise ok cycle in some women...

eskimoflo · 27/09/2015 10:44

Hi everyone. Nothing to report from me, just checking in to see how you all are.

Nomio Thinking of you and hope the wait is over for you soon. Definitely let me know if and when you're in Hull again and we'll have to meet up!

Pixa It's so good to hear from you! So glad to see that you're keeping positive and proactive. Do you have some tests results due tomorrow? If so, what are they, and good luck! Keep us updated, my lovely x x

Lucie Transfer around Christmas time? How exciting!!! Hopefully the time will fly by for you.

Rainy Good to see you back. Glad to see you had a good time away, but sorry for horrible AF pains. Hope they're all gone now...

Sammy Just seen your update. 13th October is so soon. It will be here before you know it. Wishing you all the luck in the world! Grin

How is everyone else getting on? Boris? Beansprout? DizzyN? lilly? and anyone else I've missed. Hello to any newbies too Grin

It's CD12 for me and we DTD last night. We were supposed to start on Friday, but I've not really been paying much attention to TTC this time round; I've sort of lost a bit of interest. Hmm It's been so long without any kind of hope or positive news that I haven't got 'back into it' since coming back from holiday at the beginning of September. So I've taken my pills at the right time, but other than that, I've not been doing OPKs or doing any kind of symptom spotting for EWCM or anything. Will still try this week, but only if we feel up for it; I'm not going to force anything this time round. Will just wait on what the blood tests say on Oct 6th and go from there.

Beansprout30 · 27/09/2015 11:12

Eskimo it's nice to just have months like that where you just cannot be bothered to track everything, hope your test results bring good news xx

We're having two months off ttc at the moment as dh was away during fertile week this cycle and is away again next, I was blubbing about it last weekend because it feels like the months are ticking by but now im enjoying the breakand hhave planned some well needed nights out til we get back on it.
also hoping by the time we start again the acupuncture sessions might work! They've brought ovulation forward to cd14 for 1st time ever, just waiting to see if it's made a difference to lp too!

Has af shown yet nomio?

A blog sounds good pixa wish infertility was more talked about, a lot of ppl really have no idea how awful it is to go through

my friends baby is due this week, cant believe she is about to pop out number two and we started trying way before she was even preggo Sad so unfair

Rainy34 · 27/09/2015 19:58

Nomio great to see that your lp has lengthend and fx af stays away

So pleased that you found the injections okay Sammy sending good vibes your way!!

Wine sorry to hear you had a miscarriage recently, just so unfair, but hopefully you will catch soon, fx you already have!!

Boris how is things with you my lovely ? xx

Eskimo i know how you feel about not feeling the interest in ttc, iv been like that a lot lately, hopefully the tests will go your way and you can get on with the next stage of ttc, we don't go back till November to the fertility place so think thats why my lack of interest is coming from, once there is a course of action you can feel different

Beansprout sorry to hear you are being baby bombed, was out with family today for lunch and mother in laws friend came over to tell us that her niece is pregnant, i had to look away, don't even know the girl but it got up my nose, hopefully one day it will be our turn

Flybynight1 · 27/09/2015 21:18

Well what a difference a week makes! This time last Sunday I was feeling great, but this weekend-BLEUGH! I'm on CD22, 4dpo (based on cm-my cycle should be 30-32 days) so I guess just waiting to see how things pan out, but I am bloated and feeling really flabby (water retention I think, I get it bad) and just knackered and stroppy. These hormones can do horrible things!!

Trying not to obsess over the tww thing...

Hi Wine this is a great thread! lots of lovely ladies :-D hopefully you get some good news soon!

eskimo, you never know, the lack of pressure could still do it's magic :-)

Enjoy your break beansprout! Sounds like you deserve some 'me' time, relax and enjoy yourself and you'll come back to it refreshed and maybe that'll be the boost you need :-) just out of interest, what was your O date before the acupuncture? I have just discovered this aspect to charting-you need a good 2 week luteal phase is that right? (I sound like a numpty!)

flymo79 · 28/09/2015 11:15

pixa thanks for info re tests, your infertility awareness stuff is fascinating, esp 'what not to say' would be really interested in seeing that.
nomio did you do anything specific to lengthen LP or do you think it's a fluke? am on cd23 and 3dpo, my app says af is due in 4 days... Im just sat here wishing I had a tww!!

taking me ages to catch up on the activity over the weekend, I'm a total desk-mnetting-aholic!

Pikz · 28/09/2015 20:40

Sneaking in with my Pom poms definitely need some bfps soon

Beansprout30 · 28/09/2015 20:48

fly I would usually ovulate around cd18/19 before, af has arrived this evening though so unfortunately lp has stayed around 10/11 days. Apparently over 10 days is ok, 14 days is textbook, I think my 10 days is the reason why im not getting pregnant though.

Nomio23 · 28/09/2015 21:33

Hi all, AF arrived yesterday. Angry Sad. At least I am not in limbo anymore. I am wondering if being ill maybe delayed AF slightly. I can't think of anything else I have done this month.

Eskimo, I really hope the 150mg somehow works it's magic for you. It is so hard when you are desperate to get pregnant, but not able to even try.

Sammy, I hope the injections are going on. I was looking at the rules for IVF in our area again last night & they say that if you have had any private cycles, you have to use the frozen embryos & can't do a fresh cycle. Completely opposite to your CCG!

Flymo/Bean, I would definitely recommend prog. pessaries. They actually have me a normal LP & one of our grads got pregnant in her first month of using them! The only bad thing is that you can only get them privately.

Flyby, I hope you feel better soon.
