Hi everyone
We have been ttc for baby no2 for over 2.5 years now. We had a late miscarriage last year, followed by another mc back to back at the end of the year. Have done all the usual tests on blood clotting, auto immune diseases and have shown nothing as to what has caused my losses. In the process of doing fertility investigations now, as I just turned 39 and time is of the essence.
Have gone through semen analysis, a hysteroscopy, a 3D SIS scan and due to have a HyCoSy after my next period. Which means, I've literally been through the mill in the last year, if I am to include the various blood tests, internal ultrasounds and the D&C after the second mc.
My consultant has already started discussing the prospect of IVF if nothing happens by the end of the year. DH and I are both indecisive as to whether we have the physical, emotional and financial capacity to start this process, given that we also have a little boy who will soon turn 4.
I did regular acupuncture sessions over 6 months, before I was able to conceive our second baby which sadly passed away at 20 weeks gestation.
I have been reading about homeopathy and all the success stories on women struggling with infertility and baby losses, as it is a holistic and mild approach aiming to re-balance the whole body and any messed up hormones.
I have already done some online research but have no clue really as to who's an expert on the field of fertility, as most clinics/practitioners appear to be practicing homeopathy for other types of conditions/ailments.
I would be most grateful if anyone has any recommendations on an experienced homeopath dealing specifically with women's health and fertility.
Many thanks ladies :)
x

Hi annaif I'm so sorry to hear about the tough time you've had the past couple of years and for the loss of your babies Flowers I just wanted to say I was in a similar boat in terms of one miscarriage back in 2009 tried for a couple of years, no problems were found and then decided to have a break to plan our wedding/move house. We then started trying approx 2 and a half years ago and again nothing happened, last week we were given the go ahead for ivf, however I actually got a BFP last night (confirmed this morning) which was the biggest shock. In terms of homeopathy I haven't tried it but wanted to let you know of my experience with reflexology, I've been having sessions once a month since June this year, it sorted my cycle out (I was quite irregular) and seemed to sort my bbt temps out too, they started off as Rocky Mountains but got so much better, I would definitely recommend it, it's weird as the lady i see actually said to me that we had timed the appointment spot on this month. I don't know whether that helped us get to where we are, but I do know it's so relaxing and it's my once a month treat! It may be worth looking into? I also have a friend who has been using different oils and things throughout her pregnancy and swears by it, it's quite an expensive thing but sometimes it's worth giving a go. I hope this is a bit helpful sorry for waffling! I have everything crossed for you that you get your bfp, stay strong x

Hi Southy84, congratulations! Very exciting to hear that you've finally gotten your BFP you have been waiting for, for so long!
It's really interesting what you said about reflexology; I guess all these non Western world medical practices share the same holistic principles, don't they? I found that acupuncture really helped with relaxation and sorting out my irregular cycle which helped me get pregnant second time around.
I will also explore the reflexology prospects; as you say, it's a treat and that alone should be a positive step towards getting in the right mind frame to hopefully conceive.
Any reflexology recommendations by any chance?? We live in East London and I am sure there's plenty around but it's always hard finding the "right" one!

Thank you :) I find these things really interesting, it's weird what she could tell by massaging my feet! She picked up on an old injury and other strange things! I'm afraid Im nowhere near you, I only know my one lady who I googled as she was close to where I live and she had reviews about helping with fertility. I only see her once a month so be wary if you see someone who says you need to go weekly, I've heard that happening to someone I know before. Some people do reflexolog alongside accupuncture so you could always do that x

I'm just arranging reflexology, though will have to keep it a secret from DH as he hates all these alternative things. Also got to hide me B Complex tablets, though the regular folic acid is fine :-)
