Painful period cramping 4DPO?

Hiya,

I'm really in a lot of pain! I'm currently 4DPO and I'm having these horrid period cramps, of which have been going on since 3DPO.

I'm not a crazy symptom spotter, nor am I under the illusion that these are early pregnancy signs. The things is, I'm actually a little confused as to what's going on 'down there'. I've taken pain killers, all of which haven't really helped.

I've been tracking my cycles for over a year now, and my CM is back to its usual creamy post-ovulation self. It was my usual fertile eggwhite/stretchy during my fertile window so I'm fairly certain I'm not ovulating later, it's too far on. Plus a fancy ovulation test did indeed confirm with a smiley on its usual timing, the same every month.

Could it warrant a visit to the GP? I don't know what it is and thought I'd ask because the internet isn't giving me clear info.

Thank you Grin

The timing suggests it may be a sign of implantation (i.e. when the fertilised egg is trying to burrow into the lining of your womb). If the pain is still there tomorrow, I would give your GP a call/visit. Hope you feel better soon Brew

Hi jellybelly,

Isn't it much too early for that, after all I'm only 3/4 days post ovulation?

Thank you for the hot chocolate ;)

It is a bit early for implantation but are you absolutely sure you ovulated when you did? Maybe you were a bit earlier than you thought x
