Hi Smile
Hoping for some regular OPK users help here! First month using opks I'm at CD20 and still no smiley face Sad it really got to me today as all it seem to be getting for the last few months are negatives negatives negatives whether it's pregnancy rests or ovulation tests! Does anybody else have late ovulation around this time or do you think that means I won't ovulate at all this month now?
Smile thank you any help appreciated x

When in your cycle did you start using OPKs? How many are you using a day? What is your normal cycle like? Any other signs of ovulation? Are you temping? How long have you been trying?

smellsofelderberries · 03/09/2015 08:25

It's hard to say without any other information. Do you usually have regular cycles? Do you have any other ovulation symptoms? Any EW or wet CM? I ovulate anywhere from CD16 to CD22 so know the frustration, somwtimes you just have to be patient!

flymo79 · 03/09/2015 11:53

also are you taking any supplements? I started taking b-vits (for suspected short luteal phase) and it has delayed ovulation this month (tracked by temping this month rather than opks as I ran out!)

DizzyNorthernBird · 03/09/2015 12:31

I stopped using opks because I was getting stressed about not getting strong lines. I rely on cm for knowing when ov is due and temping to know when it's happened.

I would keep dtd if I were you. I ovulate late, my cycles range between 31-44 days in the last 9 months which means I ovulate anywhere after cd17, usually around cd21, but two months ago I didn't until cd31!!! I've had tests and my hormones are fine, I think I'm just particularly sensitive to stress which is what is delaying ovulation. Could you be stressed?

Thanks all. Tbf this is only my 3rd cycle since stopping the pill ands far cycles have been 48, 36. I'm not particularly stressed but my job is pretty stressful I suppose. I'm following SMEP this month so have been DTD every other day all month so think I will just carry on until AF shows! Thanks for all your replies made me feel more 'normal' knowing I'm not the only one! Xx

If your previous cycles have been 48 and 36 days then there's always a chance you haven't ovulated yet. My cycles are 43 days and I got my peak on CB on cd 28 this month and cd33 last month!

DizzyNorthernBird · 04/09/2015 11:21

You are definitely normal op, ignore anyone that tries to tell you that you should ovulate on cd14 and af on cd28!!

When I first came off the pill for my dd my cycle was all over, it was about cd30 ish. Hang on in there.
