Period after contraceptive implant

I had my implant removed 3 weeks ago. The nurse said I should have a period at around 2 weeks post removal or even less.

I've had nothing so far. We've been using condoms religiously.

For those of you that have had the contraceptive implant, how long did you have it in for and how long after was your period?

I had my implant removed 4 months ago. I'd had one previously for 3 years and then had that one switched over to this one which I had for about 2 and a half yrs. For the last 2 yrs my periods were really irregular and crazy (sometimes super long or frequent, other times short or with months in between).
It was removed just after my period and then my next cycle was 37 days. Now they're regular (relief!).

I've heard lots of people say it took a few months for their periods to get back to normal after theirs were removed.
I'm sure it will be fine, good luck!

Thanks. I didn't have any periods with the implant so have no idea when it should come. Then my other worry is could I be pregnant? Although we're using condoms

28 days for me. Very irregular since.

The symptoms of withdrawing are basically the same as PG. If you don't get AF after six weeks, do a test just to make sure.

Thank you mummybex.

I came off the implant to give my body a rest from contraception as I've been on some form for 7 years. We are using condoms religiously but as I've always been on contraception using just condoms worries me a little. To be fair if I were to be pregnant it would be a very much wanted baby, it would just be bad timing. Were hoping to TTC late next year that's why I wanted to come off all contraception to let my body get back into rhythm.

I think you're probably okay :) very unlikely you'll be PG so don't worry. And if you were then it wouldn't be the end of the world so try not to stress Flowers

I had the implant in for 18 months it took 3 months to get my first period and since then my cycles last anything from 30 days to 65!!
