Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

Morning ladies. Sorry for all the BFNs. Maybe we're waiting for a new thread. This one was mega lucky, and we're nearing the 1000 mark. New thread, new BFPs! Smile

Question for y'all. I don't know whether this is just because my pelvic floor ain't what it used to be, post labour, but does anyone ever get period pains deep in their foof? I was in agony last night. It wasn't normal AF cramps, it was like someone had punched me right in the royal throne! Had to pop a load of pills at 3am before I could go back to sleep!

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 26/09/2015 08:56

Prty I was on the implant and then the mini pill, so I didn't get any periods on contraception! What I meant was that since I came off (last October, so 11 cycles ago) they have been pretty regular and sensible. It's only the last couple that have been like this! It's really worrying me - a one day period isn't normal! Maybe I should go to the GP?

Sorry about the BFNs ladies. Maybe next month, eh?

PrtyPsn · 26/09/2015 09:41

aindy I used to suffer with that but not for a long time and Ive not got any babies.
youandme could have been anovulatory cycle (think you might have said this) not sure the docs would do anything for a one off occurrence but worth documenting it.
Didn't think OH was up for DTD this morning, all my little subtle techniques were falling short... I was in the verge of saying 'it's our last chance this cycle, come on!!' when he suddenly seemed to get on the same page! Apparently I ov'd yesterday (app and CM indicate the same day) so TWW territory now!

It's probably just stress! I'm almost 100% sure I ov'd this month (positive OPKs, temp rise etc) so I don't think that explains why this current AF is being weird. I think it explains the last one though! Or I thought it did.

I'll keep an eye on things and see what happens. I'm slightly concerned it could be something to do with all the treatment I had for cervical abnormalities last year - last time I saw the gynaecologist (beginning of July) she wanted to check that I was menstruating normally: I told her yes because at the time I was! I suppose it's not very likely that a problem with scar tissue or whatever would spontaneously develop over a year after the treatment!

SharyBobbins · 26/09/2015 09:53

Oh no! Gutted to see all the BFN's Sad
Aindy that sounds familiar to be honest, think I've had some sharp pain there before during AF. I get a mixture of weird pains, even in my knees during AF! The best way I can describe the worst one is do you know those big, heavy bulldog clips that clamp shut?! Like someone has attached one of those to my foof!!
Is everything resolved with you & OH now?
Prty well done for sneaking another one in. I'm on the TWW to ovulate! Stupid long cycles!!

SharyBobbins · 26/09/2015 09:57

you&me I'm not sure how your GP surgery works but when I had concerns about my AF's (more to do with cycle length tbh) my surgery got a doctor to call me back to discuss it. Could you try that if you're worried?

LittleAindy · 26/09/2015 12:36

YouAndMe I reckon stress has a lot to do with it, as it affects your hormone production. So difficult to keep those emotions at bay though, isn't it. I too had treatment last year for abnormal cell growth. I'm due a cervical smear soon to check up on things. I do wonder if that is what caused problems with my alternate cycle.

Shary yes last cycle I got cramps that went all the way from my uterus to my knees! Mad what we have to go through every month!

Yes, generally OH and I seem ok, but we haven't talked about TTC yet, and quite honestly I don't think I want to go near that conversation yet. I'd rather have a break from it this cycle so that I'm in control, and not waiting to see if he's going to be on a sperm strike again. It'll be quite a relief to have a break from stress and symptom spotting. Maybe start up again nearer to Christmas, when we've had some time to think, and work is less stressful for the two of us.

Having said that, "if we had a daughter" was casually mentioned in conversation last night, so who knows??!

Well done Prty, I have really high hopes for you. Sounds like you've got yourself well and truly basted at the right time! Grin Fx'd for you!

themoo · 26/09/2015 21:19

Hello loves. Sorry to see all the BFNs and sorry for my own absence! Not worth the bother for me since I'm def winding up for AF.
Had a total day off today. Boozy lunch with a friend I haven't seen for years, sausage butties for tea and now more wine.
Feeling inexplicably content. i'll worry about baby making tomorrow x

neetie1 · 27/09/2015 08:50

Morning ..grr hate waiting for af to finish though as DH isn't here not much I can do anyway lol
Another grr as thought he was back thurs but not back till Fri while I'm at work...
Still will be in fertile time so we'll have a very busy weekend lol

Pirsy1 · 27/09/2015 08:52

Morning everyone!

Sorry for the BFNs - next month we are going to have a flurry, I just know it! Can't believe how quickly we have raced through this thread either. I'm so glad I joined it Smile.

I woke up this morning feeling a bit sick and my first thought was 'is this a sign' but then remembered that we went out to watch the rugby and I had a couple of drinks so it's probably just too much wine! TTC has literally taken over my every waking thought. We put an offer in on a house yesterday too so waiting to hear back tomorrow. My DH has said he is going to be really disappointed if we don't get it (it's a last and final offers situation) and I said that he would know how I feel when I get a BFN!

I think I am due on this week. Determined not to test early. Can't bear another BFN.

MrsKittenPie · 27/09/2015 09:14

Morning everyone Grin
moo - that sounded like a lovely day yesterday.
neetie - a very busy weekend for you coming up then!
pirsy - exciting about waiting to hear on house offer!! And you could get a bfp this week too - what a week that would be Grin!! What day are you thinking of testing?

Pirsy1 · 27/09/2015 09:26

Hi Kitten - well if it's a 28 day cycle I would be expecting AF on Friday. Going to try to hold out til Friday / Saturday if nothing has appeared. Not got huge hopes up this cycle because DH was away the Fri/Sat/Sun of when I think my fertile window was. We DTD on the Thurs so I'm hoping I ovulated on the Fri ... we'll see!

PrtyPsn · 27/09/2015 11:04

Oooo FX'd for house and BFP pirsy
Sounds like a fab day moo
CM has cleared up today so think that's it folks, TWW is here!!

I feel stupid and gutted.
Got a squinter on an Internet cheapie this morning which after 15 months of ttc was so exciting. Got a morrisons test this afternoon and bfn. I know I should have waited till the morning but I was so excited Sad

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 27/09/2015 16:49

Oh MrsKitten how rubbish for you Sad

When are you due? Maybe it's just a bit early, and if you try again in the morning all will be clear! Fingers crossed.

MrsKittenPie · 27/09/2015 17:01

Thanks youandme
I'm not sure when I'm due- had a weird very light af last month and it was all just spotting so wasn't sure when it actually started! Going by the first day then I am cd

MrsKittenPie · 27/09/2015 17:02

Posted too early!
I would be cd29 and my cycles are 29 to 33 days so it maybe too early or just my wishful thinking seeing the squinter!!

Pirsy1 · 27/09/2015 17:56

Don't feel stupid Kitten, sometimes the urge to POAS is just overwhelming! We've all been there Wink .... maybe try in a couple of days on FMU. Sending positive vibes to your foof to do the right thing and give us a BFP.

MrsKittenPie · 27/09/2015 18:11

Thanks pirsy - it's good to know I'm not alone! Yes will do. I'm so glad I've got you all here to share the madness Grin

PrtyPsn · 27/09/2015 21:34

Thanks prty - love this thread, there's no one else I could confess my madness to! Grin X

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 27/09/2015 21:58

I could do without Anna's tragic infertility storyline on flipping Downton Abbey! Especially with it being an issue with cervical incompetence - I'm so anxious about that because of the treatment I had let year: the gynaecologist said I would need to be monitored in case I need a stitch if I get pregnant because I don't have much remaining cervix. I'd prefer not to think about it!

Does everyone else feel as if babies and pregnancy are everywhere, battering them in the face? I was wandering round John Lewis today looking at Christmas decs, and they had a whole load of "Baby's First Christmas" stuff. It made me feel really sad: what if I'm not pregnant by Christmas? Or (worse) by next Christmas? I know I've only tried for three cycles and it'll probably be fine, but I've always been convinced it won't happen for some reason!

As if I wasn't neurotic enough before - TTC has got me a basket case.

MrsKittenPie · 27/09/2015 22:11

youandme - glad I don't watch Downton then! Try not to worry too much, a friend of mine had a similar issue but it turned out she didn't need a stitch but nearly did. Her baby was born perfectly fine Smile
I'll join you being a basket case! I see pregnancy and babies everywhere. Thought I'd be pregnant last Christmas so the thought of not being pregnant this Christmas is heartbreaking. Like you say it's only been 3 cycles for you and I think you will be fine - especially with this lovely thread! Smile
Who's next to poas?!

Pirsy1 · 27/09/2015 22:18

Youandme - I can totally empathise with the neuroticism, I worry constantly. My husband says re: TTC there is no point in worrying over something you can't control. He is so right ... but I just can't help it.

I am also in the same boat re: cervix. I have had 2x LLETZ and am back at colp next week actually for review. I think the good thing is they know there is a risk and they will scan in early pregnancy to measure the cervical length and put in a stitch if needed, so I don't think cervical incompetence should really be an issue. Forewarned is forearmed as they say.

Kitten not sure who's next to POAS. I am potentially Sat but there must be someone before me.

PrtyPsn · 28/09/2015 07:28

pirsy my OH says the same but it's not that easy is it?!
kitten know what you mean, I was convinced I would be heavily pregnant by Xmas so now to think I might still have an empty womb by then it's more than a little bit crushing :(
youandme try not to worry, I said before that I know a lot about pregnancy and cervical stitches (when needed) tend to do their job and like pirsy says forewarned is forearmed- they will keep an eye on you :)
