Hi (big wave)
So you clicked on here cos you were looking for me (I'm flattered!) or the title seemed interesting!
I'm aware it doesn't really explain but we are bunch of lovely ladies all TTC and going ever so slightly crazy with it! For more info see our original thread here - www.mumsnet.com/Talk/conception/2412386-TTC-anxious-over-early-pregnancy-possible-symptoms?msgid=56357000#56357000

We are symptoms spotters extrodinaire - you name it we've had it, real and/or imagined Confused
We are here to help, we are all supportive, we laugh, rant, cry, joke, rage, smile, and comfort together. Be you a lurker or poster (established or new) then you are very welcome here. We only have a few rules:

  1. No judgement - we all lead different lives and have different standards and that is fine. You wanna get wasted everyday of TWW, that's fine. You wanna abstain completely, that's fine. We need support, not judgement.
  2. No feeling stupid - we've all had those months where we definitely think we are pg 110% convinced and then AF turns up, don't feel bad about it, it happens. Also we all have different levels of knowledge so no question is stupid apart from the one you don't ask.
  3. On this thread there is no such thing as TMI - we are all adults and we all know how miraculous and amazing... and downright disgusting our bodies can be, it's fine. Share what you want, we will not be fazed.

So that's it, jump in and FX'd for all my lovelies xx

prty so sorry it was a BFN in the end. But sounds like next month could be your month - fingers squeezed tightly crossed for you!!
neetie maybe it was a bit early... Maybe test again in a couple of days and keep an eye on the symptoms.
Aindy sorry about the row with OH - the thing with TTC is that things go on as normal at the same time, so these things happen. Glad you're feeling philosophical about it..
I'm a bit all over the place this cycle for some reason. I've been really under the weather ever since I came on, very weak, tired and aching, and just feeling wiped. AF still going on day 5, but lightly, including 3 days of spotting before it started, so am ready for it to go away now!! Do any of you know how to read BBT charts? I'm really confused by mine. I -think- I ovulated this month (around 5th Sep), and since then I've had 18 days of temps above cover line, which is a supposed to be a sign of Preg, but ovbiously got AF and had BFN on Thursday, so it can't be that. Do you think I did ovulate? Perhaps my temps never got high enough to be considered a jump, and I've just gone back to normal? Any advice would be gratefully received... I'll attach a pic, will do it in next post, as I don't want to lose this post when flicking between apps...

Ellamorella · 21/09/2015 14:01

Here are the pics I took of my chart. You can see the cycle days at the top. As you can see, we only managed to DTD once, because we were away with family (in a very exposed room) then had one day window, then hubby went to Canada!

prty just read your message after posting mine. I think you should do what feels right to you, and screw what's right or wrong. You guys know you want a baby, whatever happens, and you're being sensible about it. Your time will come (maybe next month?), I can feel it in me bones!) x

neetie1 · 22/09/2015 05:35

Well DH has gone to China for 10 days and af has moved in :( so convinced this was the month ...... :(

LittleAindy · 22/09/2015 06:40

Oooouuuffff! That was a LONG torturous god-knows-how-long without MN! Everyone survive??

Neetie I'm so sorry. I had positive vibes for you too. She is a cruel cruel creature Flowers Does OH know she made an appearance before he left? Sounds like he will be back in time for your next fertile window and FX'd you can enjoy a BFP together next month Smile

Prty I think getting prepared is a very smart idea. Especially as you have decided that one way or another, you will be having a baby. If I could change one thing in the past, then it would be getting our finances in check before TTC. Yes, people will say "you will never have enough money, just go for it" etc, but you can certainly be smart about it.

Kids don't have to be expensive. We pretty much got all the major stuff free as hand-me-downs, presents or mega bargains at carboot sales. I also signed up to all the parent to be sites for freebies and vouchers. Also just ask around. People are always wanting to give away their baby paraphernalia! Anyway, the one thing you can't change the price of is childcare. Childcare is just ridiculously expensive, so my one major advice for all parents to be is SAVE SAVE SAVE for maternity pay and childcare! Unless you are in the very fortunate position to afford to stay at home or have doting grandparents!

P.s. get all those last major or minor DIY projects finished as well!

neetie1 · 22/09/2015 07:18

Yes aindy he did and for the first time ever sounded disappointed. .might go back to using opk next month ..sigh. ..

MummyBex1985 · 22/09/2015 08:03

Booooo neetie Sad hope the bitch clears off soon. FX for this month Flowers

Prty that's very well organised! My friend took 18 months to conceive and had bought pretty much everything except a pram before she was even PG! Weirdly I find that more normal than buying really early in PG... Feels like tempting fate then rather than just being organised and spreading the cost...

Ps - those baby wipes might dry out before you get to use them lol! Mine usually dry out within a couple of months!

londonrach · 22/09/2015 08:28

Ok i realky dont understand how you get pregnant. Dh and i have been ttc right time for months now. Is there something we doing wrong? Getting very worried.

SunnyScot89 · 22/09/2015 11:04

Is being really itchy all over an early sign of pregnancy or have I just got scabies????
Can't stop scratching! Started fairly minor on Sunday but feel like I'm constantly scratching somewhere now, and the more I think about it the worse it is!!!! ARGH!!!! Proper going crazy today!!!!

PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 11:06

(Runs around the thread like a kid who's eaten too much sugar)
Waahhhh!!!! My precious thread!! Overdosing now after so much down time!! All present and correct?
neetie that's crap news, lovely. We all know the sting of thinking its THE month then AF messes everything up! Chin up, onwards to more humping in 10 days!
Thanks aindy and bex we just thought it made sense to prepare, I know you can never afford children but why not have a bit of cash behind it as well as some supplies. Childcare is so expensive, fortunately I do have my parents but I'm not sure if I agree with their techniques they will be able to look after when the time comes. We could probably get away with me dropping some hours at work and a chance OH could work same hours but in fewer days so might only need a day or two a week.
aindy any symptoms??

PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 11:07

rach just keep DTD, my lovely. How long has it been?
sunny I've heard of women scratching in late pregnancy... don't rule it out though!

OP posts:
tay13 · 22/09/2015 12:40

Sunny I was really itchy in early pregnancy... To the extreme lol apparently it's really common.
Sorry to hear about AF neetie
Had a nightmare day yesterday with the dog needing an emergency op at the vets.. Thankfully home now!

LittleAindy · 22/09/2015 13:49

Prty still got the pornstar full boobies and sore nips that started around Ov'ing. I'm not the most blessed in that department so I can usually sleep on my front, but last night was SO uncomfortable! Still got 'school glue' CM (as Ovia calls it!). The occasional cramps and back ache but it's all very similar to previous symptoms that have resulted in AF. No sickness or headaches or tiredness or change in appetite (although my cornflakes tasted odd last night but that could have just been the milk!)

neetie don't feel bad about OH feeling disappointed. That just means he's as excited about it as you! and unlikely to tell you to bugger off find your own sperm donor

Bex and Prty I swear by Huggies wipes. They last forever, even once opened! Stock up - you can never have too many!

sunny interesting one! I wonder.... Hmm where are you in you cycle?

Rach chin up, lovely. It's no easy task. And those who make it seem that way are the exception to the rule! Flowers

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 22/09/2015 14:03

Hi ladies can I join in? I've been lurking a bit and you all seem very friendly. I was on the September bus thread but it's all gone very quiet. I think I might be a thread killer!

I'm 11dpo today, on cycle 3. TTC baby number 1. Trying really hard not to symptom spot, and failing.

PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 14:33

Welcome youandme (I can't see the rest of your username haha!)
Come in, grab a seat and a handful of Maltesers!
I'm sure you're not a thread killer! 11dpo... Not too much longer go wait then :) symptoms?

OP posts:
YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 22/09/2015 14:50

Oh you know the usual raft of nondescript stuff - tired, sore boobs, creamy CM. I pointlessly did a cheap test yesterday afternoon and it was obviously negative.

Also feeling a bit anxious that if I am pregnant I will have damaged the baby by going in a sauna and steam room at the weekend. So the usual neurotic nonsense.

LittleAindy · 22/09/2015 15:04

Hello YouAndMe!! big wave (love the username btw!)

Nice to see another recruit. Still early days yet, so Fx'd for you. No need to worry about hot tub either, it's potentially just a teeny tiny spec at the moment Smile

YouAndMeAreGoingToFallOut · 22/09/2015 15:19

Thanks LittleAindy. I know it would probably be fine. I tried Googling about saunas in the TWW and mainly got a lot of hysterical stuff about behaving as if you are pregnant for the whole TWW every month in every way, which doesn't seem that realistic to me, when you've no idea how long it might be before you even get pregnant!

PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 15:28

(sits awkwardly in the corner) yeah... I mean... I don't live my life like I'm pregnant... noooo... not like every single day or anything...
Yeah, I'm totally cray cray!!
I second what aindy says, it is still early days. Also I wouldn't worry about the hot tub, I hacecread about extremes of temperature in early pregnancy but people done tons of things before they even realise they are pregnancy and like you say, you can't live in a bubble (retreats safely into living like I'm pregnant bubble)

OP posts:
PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 15:29

Jeez, autocorrect really screwed me over there! Totally should focus on doing one thing at a time!!

OP posts:
SunnyScot89 · 22/09/2015 15:39

Aindy I'm currently CD24, Oviva says 4 days till I should test. No idea when I ovulated as my OPK never turned positive but I reckon I'll be around 10dpo.

Welcome YouAndMe I really wouldn't worry about the sauna, I'm sure plenty people have done far worse in the early stages!! Just try to relax, far more chance of conceiving if you're not stressed!!!

Stripes1983 · 22/09/2015 17:10

prty sorry for BFN but sounds you might be super fertile as a result - fx ! neetie sorry about AF arrival - big hugs X
selfishly jumps to front of queue for advice So I'm on CD25, no idea if/when I ovulated, getting creamy CM, felt really sick twice today ( 1st thing & this afternoon) toothbrush/toothpaste tasted/ smelt really weird this morn and made me gag, going for a wee after every small drink, no other symptoms, any ideas - does this mean I'm ov now ?(had 42 day cycle last time) does it mean I'm getting some weird AF symptoms ? Could I be pg? And the most likely answer - am I just cray cray?

Stripes1983 · 22/09/2015 17:11

Also welcome youandme apologies your first experience of me is a TWW (potentially) meltdown !!

PrtyPsn · 22/09/2015 17:25

Easy stripes (hands out a cup of tea and a mountain of biscuits)
Interesting symptoms... is 42 days a usual cycle for you? LP is generally 10-16 days I think so I'd count back from expected date of AF and guess you Ov'd around there - I feel your pain not knowing when/if it's happened but that's how I/my app calculates fertile days...

OP posts:
Stripes1983 · 22/09/2015 18:13

dunks biscuit in tea like life depends on it Last cycle was the only time it's been 42 days, averages normally about 32 though , according to app AF due on Saturday
