TTC #3 after 5 years mirena

hi guys im new

2 sons already 9 and 7 years old.

I had my mirena coil removed tuesday 25th August in the morning, some light removal spotting and cramps during the day but nothing else to report at teatime, in fact feeling a little frisky that evening - weird eh!

no blood wednesday.

then thursday had different kind of blood and what felt like period pains, bled until this morning (sunday).

It felt like a period but surely a period wouldnt come that quickly after removal??

what do you guys think?? others had period that quickly?

i have also been unwell with sorethroat and earache for last 24 hours so im not sure if all my symtoms are just being merged together?

I had a short withdrawal bleed a few days after my Mirena came out, it was a bit crampy but generally light and lasted about 2-3 days. About 10 days after that ended I had a 'real' period and it was just AWFUL!!! Thankfully I conceived two weeks later so didn't have to face another heavy period!! The Mirena had caused me to forget just how horrific my periods were!

I was thinking that it might be a withdrawal bleed too, but like you I have forgotten how periods can be and the last 2/3days have been enough of a shock to the system, but I don't know if the 'bleed' seemed worse because I'm ill?

congratulations, how far along are you now?

He was born 17 months ago and Mirena number 2 is firmly in place

Took Mirena out in December,first after six weeks then 28 days like clockwork but only lasts two days still TTC 9 months later. I have 2 DC,s conceived very easily had Mirena for 5 years
