Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

 1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
 2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
 3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
 4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
 5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like Something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A Lemon = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Yey!! purple!!

Ew to pant snot on the seat!

chat I haven't had chance to read back yet but I gather u are wanting to make bread?! I love making bread but I only do it in the winter - I don't use a bread maker though I just use one of my mums recipe / instructions. I love the smell of baking bread in the house - especially when I put it in front of the log burner to rise. I may have to make some at the weekend now!

Update on us; still waiting to hear from doctor to say all results are back and to run through what goes next. AF is a funny one at the min too - she arrived on Thursday (fully) stayed until Saturday morning then buggered off for the rest of the weekend. Since Monday she's been teasing with a bit of spotting but that's it. I think a two day AF Is my personal record so fuck knows what's going on - it seems to have got less and less since I came off BC, would have expected it to have stayed the same seeing as for 10 months it was always consistent 5 - 6 days. May well bring this up when we do see the doc.

What's for dinner tonight then ladies? Stir fry over here.

justtheonethen · 08/09/2015 18:47

Stir fry here too.

tink Shock horrific.

I use my kitchen aid on dough hook and then oven, I love fresh bread! Not bothered about bread maker though. Although I could be persuaded!

Keepatit · 08/09/2015 18:50

I do love bread out of a bread maker too - it's normally in a better shape than one I make!!

ChatEnOeuf · 08/09/2015 18:59

Tink! Envy

Chat I defer to Lil re the testing. She is the wisdom of this here Fred. My personal tactic is to hold out for absolutely as long as I can. Does the XR have to be booked by a certain date?

justtheonethen · 08/09/2015 19:31

What's your longest cycle chat?

Tinktheterrible · 08/09/2015 20:38

chat I'd go with Monday I think. I think...

Salmon with pesto and pine nut crumb, sweet potato wedges and peas here. Trying to have a week using up freezer/store cupboard overstocks. Anyone have any good veggie recipes for green and orange lentils? And risotto, probably not together.

keep tell the doc everything. Although, I think a lot of people have quite different af's each cycle. I think it's only usually a real cause for concern when they are long, heavy and you have lots of pain. I think the witch dicking about is fairly de rigour when ttc. My feeling is you just notice it a lot more then.

Wondering where you are feathered and hoping all is well. Flowers

ill, lil how goes it?

Ran tonight for the first time in 3weeks! Was great! New trainers are the dogs! Celebrating with a gin and elderflower Hmm might be undoing the good work there methinks..

JustMeAndHim · 08/09/2015 20:44

Ooh Tink what ones are they? I love a bit of running shoe porn.

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 21:17

I'm here Tink, lurking away and vomming at pant snot on loo seats!

I'm fine, but not getting too excited still. Feel uber cautious. Have a really really busy period at work coming up so hoping that will make time move faster and stop me googling pregnancy related stuff.

Feels a bit weird having the symptoms (tired/cotton wool head and need to pee) again like the last time. They've come thick and fast despite the fact AF wouldn't haven't been due until tomorrow or Thursday and I'd've definitely known/strongly suspected I was pregnant by now even without testing.

Your dinners sound good. I practically purred when I read 'pesto pine nut crumb'. I had left over chicken barley soup, tangerines and some strawberry laces.

Chat if AF is due on Sat, then test now on Sunday evening?

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 21:19

Also need to know the trainer detail Tink. I love a good pair of runners. I usually go for assics for the long runs but currently sporting fleuro orange Nike ones for walking.

Tinktheterrible · 08/09/2015 21:21

these ones so comfy! I'm a cross country kind of gal so they do the job in the mud Smile great price too!

Good news feathered, Gx.

FeatheredTail · 08/09/2015 21:37

Niiiiiice Tink - and amazing discount too. Good old sports direct!

JustMeAndHim · 08/09/2015 21:49

Ooh they do look good. I got some Karrimor walking shoes which are good, and reasonable!

Glad all is well Feathered gx for you

coribeth · 09/09/2015 03:46

Morning all congrats feathered sorry to be mia for so long feeling rather under the weather at present life turned into work and sleep there for a minute damn fourteen hour shifts and short staffing now totally can't sleep as back on the clomid as af arrived in full force yesterday hope everyone is doing good? And ew total vom at pant snot!

ChatEnOeuf · 09/09/2015 06:38

Ha, XR is only useful if done before I get pregnant if we're honest - otherwise it's going to be next year so it's academic really. Just my longest cycle post Tiny was 26d, pre- was 32. Unless you count that I didn't get a BFP until CD36 with him.

Feathered - giblets? Yay for symptoms :)

JustMeAndHim · 09/09/2015 07:44

Chat I would probably try and hold out for Saturday or Sunday Friday??

JustMeAndHim · 09/09/2015 07:44

Sorry about AF Cori

lildottie · 09/09/2015 08:46

chat with you're track record I'm not sure poas early is going to be any help to you! Can an xr really do that much damage that early? When us xr booked for?

feathered take it as good signs that the symptoms are kicking in so soon. And don't worry if they are different to last time. With the ivf I'm telling myself different is good. I have an online chart that shows how mc rate reduces as pg progresses if you think it will help.

So first scan at 10.15/ here's hoping for a super thin womble lining and nothing suspect going on in my ovaries!

jellypi3 · 09/09/2015 09:05

good luck lil :)

FeatheredTail · 09/09/2015 09:15

Sending thin womble vibes your way Lil!

Peenut · 09/09/2015 09:37

Hope your scan goes well Lil

Chat Sounds like people want you to back away from that stick.

Feathered hope cotton fluff head is manageable, but yay to symptoms. GX for you all runs smoothly.

Last night I dreamed I'd been admitted the to Liverpool Women's Hospital, the one off OBEM. (I live in Yorkshire.) I was in labour but had no pregnancy bump and didn't seem to have any symptoms but everyone was telling me I was about to give birth.

On the maternity ward was my cousin's evil ex wife and all my relatives, all I seemed to be concerned about was that I had loads of work I hadn't finished. Oh, and you could buy different backdrops for your room to take selfies against to upload to Instagram, bunting and such like!

If I wasn't at the end of AF I would swear the vividness of the dream was a pregnancy symptom! I still feel weird from it!

fruitlovingmonkey · 09/09/2015 10:18

Wow Peenut that does sound like a weird pregnancy dream. Love the idea of different backdrops, I know it's wrong but those hospital photos people send around always look so grim apart from the gorgeous new baby and massively proud mum of course Pimp my maternity ward!
I had a weird dream, me and dh met up with my ex and he wanted me to go and tell his parents that I'm pregnant because they'd be upset. I loved my ex in laws and was excited to see them but really nervous about bringing 'bad' news.
Chat I'd go with Saturday.
Gx crossed for you lil

SecondCupOfTea · 09/09/2015 10:30

Chat another vote for now Saturday

Peenut · 09/09/2015 10:56

Fruit Maybe I have actually just dreamt up a new business idea. Pimp my maternity ward indeed! Why have boring clinical photos of you and your newborn again when you can have a tropical beach back drop and inflatable parrot!?

Meeting the ex-inlaws sounds hilarious, because if course you'd sit them down and tell them the news in real life!

ChatEnOeuf · 09/09/2015 11:01

Very strange dreaming there, Pee!

XR not booked, Lil, I have to arrange it. And I probably won't until the witch sweeps in. Which is fairly likely given how grumpy I am. With my history I'm not doing anything that could cause damage. Paranoid much. I need to switch my brain off. I'm sure I used to be a normal, rational human being.
