Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.
  5. Thou shalt not be offended by the word vagina.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others. Also known as 'the witch', 'bitch witch' and 'that one with the red shiny convertible'

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a <strong>kitten</strong> = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit), or PIATLH (Tea light holder), PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in! PONF = Pee on Nigel Farage (Self explanatory, who wouldn't?)

ROC = Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS. Optional decorations include photographs of controversial political leaders.

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Jizz in a bra = how we transport the jizz to the Sperm Queen

Shagging like <strong>Something</strong> = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession. Warning - this may happen to you if you start trying to POAS at 5dpo. PUT. THE. PISSY. STICK. DOWN. IT'S TOO EARLY!

Contraband (or Cuntraband) = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

SOTM = Shagger of the Month. Awarded with varying regularity to those viroids who go above and beyond EOD shagging in pursuit of that BFP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture. AKA Schroedingering!
TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

Keeping your gingers = fingers crossed, yet another autocorrect development! Shortened to 'gx'

Doing A <strong>Lemon</strong> = Testing WAAAAAAAY to early!

Miroid - The male compadre of a viroid

Cat - Compulsory

Skittletits - Killer molten painful tits and nipples

Ghost jizz/goat jazz - When the amazing foof sucks up all the jizz - achieved when coming at the same time/nearly the same time.

Aww Chat!! That gave me goosebumps

FeatheredTail · 04/09/2015 14:26

What a sweetie your dd is Chat. We're all rooting for a baby for her birthday next year Wink

I've had a medley of Willy Wonka songs in my head ever since Just mentioned waving around the last 3 pack FRER like a golden ticket. Imagining the boots staff like the sweet shop owner man:

You got it Just! You got the last FRER! Now run! Hold it tight! Run all the way home and don't stop for anyone!

I think I'll definitely have "cheer up Charlie" in my head if I get a BFN....and "I've got a golden ticket!" If it's a BFP. Willy Wonka - a song for all ttc occasions!

ahem

5hell · 04/09/2015 15:04

I think I c/would be a surrogate for my sister, but more difficult beyond that.

feathered i LOVE willy wonka...obvs wilder over depp

I also loved the extraordinary births programme...psychic dolphins?! giving birth in the sea?!...it was really just the dolphin woman who seemed a bit craycray, the others were just a bit different. Intruiged as to what the fake tan/twins woman did for a job though.

hope you're all looking forward to lovely relaxing weekends full of Wine Cake and Brew

CarrotPuff · 04/09/2015 15:09

Keep and Black sorry about the witch. Sending some Wine

Ain sorry about your GDad. I hope scan shows all clear.

Feathered so sorry about your friend, must be so heartbreaking for her Sad Well done on cheering her up though! It happened to me once... I thought it was a fart but it was diarrhoea... Thank god I was at home!

Ill I'm waving pom poms at your egg and sperm!

Oh Chat I really hope she can have her present next year!

I reckon Willy Wonka theme has to make it to the new Fred title!

Oh and hi poppies!

jellypi3 · 04/09/2015 16:56

What channel was this extraordinary births thing on?

oneyorkshirepud · 04/09/2015 17:45

Channel 4 Jelly, it was amaze.

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 17:52

Happy Birthday little chat!

I would consider surrogacy, both ways although I'm not sure I'd be much use as I can't seem to make my own! . I know someone who used a surrogate for their little girl. Without surrogacy she wouldn't be here!

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 17:54

Oops missed a whole page! feathered I love it! I spend most of life singing stupid songs so it's not far off!

Tinktheterrible · 04/09/2015 18:05

Bless little chat, here's hoping she didn't follow up with the age old "where do babies come from mummy?" Wine

I've never sensibly considered surrogacy as an option before, not really sure what it involves in the UK. Just got a whirring brain at the mo. I don't think you can just find someone and pay them, you just pay their expenses. My neighbour once offered to do it for me. It was majorly awkward, not least because she banged on about how hyper-fertile she is. Bloody show off! Wink I think in America you can pay a (obviously willing) volunteer to go through pg for you.

HAPPY FRIDAY one and all!

Keepatit · 04/09/2015 18:26

I can't find anywhere online whether or not my progesterone levels mean I'm not ovulating.

I'm too impatient to wait another two weeks to see the doc.

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 18:28

Sorry keep I'm clueless. Although if you didn't ice this month it doesn't mean you won't next month.

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 19:36

Ive googled to no avail too. We need the oracle, lil where are you?

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 19:37

tink calm that whirring brain with some Wine

Have some for me, I feel too ill!

bellybuttonfluffy · 04/09/2015 20:02

I'm on the Wine!

I'm very intrigued by this birth show yous are all on about. Going to try and watch it on catch up!

Spent most of the day feeling pretty low. So I want to just get really drunk and cry.

ChatEnOeuf · 04/09/2015 20:05

Thanks Just, she's having a lovely day. Note having...at gone 9pm!

Calm that brain, Tink. Or think of a more acceptable answer to MiniChat who has of course asked that question!

OP posts:
justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 20:28

Ha ha chat, there's some good books out there to help explain babies to littlies. Glad she's having a good one. Did you make a cake?

fluffy any particular reason for low feeling? Ttc? If so we all understand so talk to us. I prescribe Wine and some shit tv.

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 20:32

Apparently though you should just answer the question they ask, not go into too much detail when this young if you see what I mean.

Keepatit · 04/09/2015 22:01

This wine is going down nicely... Wine

... In my defence I haven't had any wine since Sunday night!

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 22:14

Hurrah for the wine keep! I am having a hot toddy, poorly girl drink, and watching bad teacher definitely don't see any of my own practice there Wink
How you feeling?

SA results Monday, back today but wouldn't give over phone and dp had meetings all day. Tbf the dr did say they wouldn't give over phone. Not sure why, not really any different from other results I don't think? I guess because they aren't necessarily cut and dried ok/not ok? Anyway, they will give dp a print out of them won't they? I have told him to ask but clearly asked him too many times as he gave me a look that suggested I was nagging! I didn't like to say that I needed it to post on here and analyse Grin

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 22:15

Is everyone else shagging? Have one for me if so

CarrotPuff · 04/09/2015 22:26

Not me. Trying to get rid of thrush Sad

We did have a shag yesterday because I thought it was gone but I was so sore afterwards I thought I'll take up celibacy. Cue today the itch is back. Fucking bitch.

justtheonethen · 04/09/2015 23:30

ouchy carrot, got some canesten? Be careful about passing it between the two of you. Rare though.

Illiria · 05/09/2015 03:01

Thanks carrot.

I'm not shagging as been told no exercise, this went slightly out the window when I had to help move things to the new house.

Kitten is well, is a neutered male. No chip, we have put up notices but if no one claims him we can keep him.

ChatEnOeuf · 05/09/2015 09:53

Just to add to your list of new and exciting things this month, Ill!

Yes, we're answering each question, which is inevitably leading to more! She currently thinks all babies are stupid for coming out head first when 'jumping out' would be quicker Hmm

Just we made cupcakes for school, and there will be a chocolate hedgehog cake (apparently) for her party next w/e... And yes, also there was the shagging. When she eventually went to sleep!

Anyone peeing this weekend? We're off to the first birthday party of the school year, already!

YogaPants · 05/09/2015 12:23

Right viroids, when would you say I should test?

Since coming off the pill in March, I have had three cycles of 48, 50 and 32 days. I haven't been temping or peeing on opks (we are allowed to have just shaggers here too, yes?).

Currently on cd31. My gut instinct is Wednesday as that gives me a few extra days since the last cycle length to be "late". What do you think?
