drttc congratulations! And all you needed to do was get a puppy haha really hope this is it for you, all cross able digits crossed

trying I think that sounds really positive. When do they think you can do your next cycle?! And I bet you thought you'd never have to use protection again Xmas Grin

Tryingno1 · 08/12/2015 21:52

Haha! To be fair I'm not listening to him! The chance of another bfp is mega slim I don't think he knew how low the count was when I saw him. They r so busy there I think some things go over their head!

Well if my tnf behaves Jan, ow Feb! i wish I had been able to take pred before this bfp....or could have see shehata before my third mc when dh soerm was ok so maybe I could have saved that one with pre bfp immunes. Oh well hindsight is a lovely thing!

Am shattered back from London and time for work tmrw. Could do with the day off!

Seekingmiracles · 08/12/2015 23:30

Sounds like it was a very positive appointment Trying, despite the comment about surrogacy. You still have so much to try, I'm absolutely sure it won't come down to that last option. Will keep everything crossed that your TNF comes down this time round.

Drttc where are you getting your tests and scans done??
I definitely don't think I could handle knowing my hcg. But we each have our own little things that help us cope. I'm much more of a bury my head in the sand kind of girl when it comes to that. I'm not sure that if I do ever get a bfp I even want the fortnightly scans with DrS!!

I feel positive for you with this one, hang tight in there little one. We're all rooting for you!

sunnyday01 · 09/12/2015 07:07

Wow that's fabulous news drttc - keeping my fingers crossed for you x

Sounds like a good appointment trying and lots of options too in terms of things they can try. I guess you can enjoy grist as and your holiday and then hopefully it will be all starting for you.

Hope everyone else is ok

Hula2 · 09/12/2015 09:37

Great news Drttc, so pleased for you ! Fingers crossed you get a nice doubling tomorrow.

Trying all sounds positive that there s lots you can still do, hope your tnf comes down nicely so you can crack on after xmas.

Waves to everyone else.

Thanks Snoopy Sunny, & Hula!

Hey Seeking- it's a small private place (can message you the name?). I think they're nurses who have gone into business together and do just about every tests/scans having to do with fertility and now recently do intralipids. Each HCG test £50, reassurance scan for £80 and next two £60 if you get a package. They're so nice and supportive- really happy I found them! I think I'm particularly HCG mad because my miscarriages are chemicals and my HCG always dramatically drops before I miscarry (never make it to scan). So if I can avoid getting my hopes up for three weeks (rather than just a few days) it's for the best. If my HCG looks good for the first week then I'll be patient and wait for a scan.

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 09/12/2015 13:48

drttc I completely understand that feeling of not wanting to get too carried away. Those are good figures though and the right support network can definitely make a positive difference. You're braver than me, I'm still sort of living in denial!

trying at least that means you will get to let your hair down a bit for Christmas. Will they test your tnf again?

I told some more friends last night which worked out well because they turned around and said 'you look really pregnant' Hmm I booked a private anomaly scan for the 22nd because I can't wait until after Christmas. Please god let everything be alright. The reassurance doesn't last long and I haven't felt any movement yet. sunny when did you first feel movement?

Seekingmiracles · 09/12/2015 13:50

That's sounds like a plan drttc. Hopefully this time you'll get that far and beyond! If you can message me the name of that place it would be great, thank you. Everything crossed for your hcg result

sunnyday01 · 09/12/2015 13:57

Snoopy - I felt movemènt at just over 20 weeks, although for a few days I thought it was just my tummy rumbling! I found once I had movement was even worse as at the beginning some days you feel it and some days you dont!

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2015 14:41

Snoopy - tnf retest on Jan 5th and I really hope the results are back soon so I can start my cycle with day 21 of my period about ten days after. But if not I'll go in Feb! I'm hopeful my tnf will be down with this round of humira as he thinks my 47 result was related to my pregnancy and my body getting upset with it! So fingers crossed its down.

Drttc loads of luck for tmrw. It's so nerve wracking for the results but I totally get it, I pref the hcg checks (I didn't use to) but since the last 2 have been chemical pregnancies I do. Keep us posted! I have a feeling it will be fine :)

Interestingly yest he was saying how it's very typical for immune losses to get shorter and shorter each time. Which I totally fit into my last one was only 4 plus 5 and the one before( I can't be sure ) but prob 5 plus 3 while others have been 7 weeks plus. I wish my immune system would piss off!! He also thinks my thin lining may be contributing so my endometrial scratch (which I know dr quenby does in Coventry and also a lot of Ivf places but I didn't have it last time) and viagra should both help with that. And obv pgd will mean 95 percent chance of not being chromosomal issues.

I'm terrified if this doesn't work though where will I be? But then I can't be 100 percent every time and I'll just have to give them another chance I suppose. At least I know we have sperm to work with!! I rem a lady on the old threads called Duggs who had normal chromosomal ivf cycle and a frozen one and no luck. Then she got naturally preg after and it worked...so need to remember it can work at some time if not when u want. I've been quite ok recently with it all , but I'm feeling really worked up again after yest :(
Sorry for rant!

billy15 · 09/12/2015 15:10

Drttc thats fantastic news!!! Grin Everything crossed that this is a sticky one for you! Keep us posted. (I also had my hcg done the last one but partly because the tests were faint.)
Trying things are sounding positive for you for next year! And congrats on the puppy.
Does anyone have any info on taking Maca root, CQ10 and DHEA? Ive been taking Maca root occasionally and recently started CQ10 but my acupuncturist recommended DHEA too. Im a bit concerned it might interfere with Dr S meds - I used to take Chinese herbs before seeing Dr S but he said to stop as can interfere with meds. I need to ask Louise but thought Id ask you ladies too.
I've told my closest friends about the mc's - most of them are sympathetic but I also find the sympathy/interest dwindles each time. It's also difficult as all my best friends have babies. I think, sadly, Ive got more used to it all and kinda coping OK!! My dad, brother and sister know too, oh and my 98 year old nan!! But we don't talk about it much (apart from with my sis).

I hope everyone is well x

Drttc · 09/12/2015 16:10

Thanks Trying, Seeking, Snoopy, and Billy!

Trying I'm sorry you're having a hard time. You have every right to these moments as this journey is so difficult. I love that you still keep going and faith based in logic. And wow I remember Duggs' name but hadn't heard her full story... Nothing short of amazing! Xx

Billy- I'm the one who got the puppy- and she's been such a great little spirit to have around :) I've never taken DHEA but have been on ubiquinol for about 5 months now.

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2015 16:34

Yep no dog for me! Not yet anyways. Yeah I rem her story clearly as she was lucky no 7 and had Ivf as well as natural pregnancies. And I rem she didn't take any meds until week 6. Such a bizzare journey this fertility malarkey! Anyways I'm feeling better after remembering her story! I was worried Argc was my only hope but it's really not. They are brill at making wonderful embryos and at least I'll def get that out of them. Then I can do frozen cycles if all goes to plan and my eggs behave!

Drttc · 09/12/2015 21:16

Ah I'm bleeding red/pink :( AF isn't even due until Friday but looks like it's here now... I have a feeling if I take a test first thing tomorrow it'll be back at BFN. Shortest lived pregnancy ever! Oh well...! Feeling a bit numb- grateful we didn't get our hopes up. Night night x

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2015 21:35

Oh no!???? What! Aghhhhhhhhh! Not fair :(
Could it be an implantation bleed? Don't loose hope yet. I have always had brown/red the 2 days before af with each bfp...
Give doggie lots of cuddles...

Seekingmiracles · 09/12/2015 22:45

Oh no Drttc Sad I know it's super worrying but like Trying said, it could just be implantation. Hope it is just that.

Billy, I've been on ubiquinol CoQ10 and DHEA since my last mc in June. No idea if its doing anything as I'm still not pregnant again! Having a month off all drugs this cycle, my system need a break. Also think the DHEA might be playing havoc with my cycle as my luteal phase seems to have shortened. I'm taking them to try to improve egg quality after a chromosomal loss.

Tryingno1 · 09/12/2015 22:50

I spoke to a nutritionist and she was pro dhea as it can help with immune issues too! Not just egg quality. She did advise I take it just 25mg (but I'm not going to as I'm on a million others!) a friend of mine having ivf was put on it for 3 months before she was allowed to cycle in the hope it would improve her egg Quality(baby boy!) But it can affect ur hormones etc so I would check with mr s first! Argc don't like their patients on it I heard (another reason why I'm not on it!) but most other places r quite happy with it

Drttc · 09/12/2015 23:03

Thanks Trying and Seeking :( I dunno... It looked bright red and heavy for implantation. Will see what tomorrow's clearblue brings. If it's possible I'll go for my HCG & I'll know by 3pm what the number is.

Drttc · 10/12/2015 06:18

Spotting stopped last night & clearblue says positive this morning. Off to get my HCG tested. Oh this roller coaster. Really hope my HCG is clear cut today!

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 10/12/2015 07:22

Good luck drttc, thinking of you this morning

Tryingno1 · 10/12/2015 08:20

Fingers crossed
Think positive!

Drttc · 10/12/2015 08:44

Thanks ladies! It's going to be a long wait till 3pm Confused

Tryingno1 · 10/12/2015 09:05

I know the feeling ! Argc would ring me at 5/6! I'm sure it's implantation ur period would continue today if it was that and it can't come with hcg in u! I hope really hard it's doubled today X

Snoopysimaginaryfriend · 10/12/2015 09:41

Bleeding in the early stages is common but obviously with our histories it terrifies us. I know you'll be preparing yourself for the worst but we will be thinking positive for you

Drttc · 10/12/2015 09:41

Thanks, Trying. There are so many explanations out there that I don't know what to think. The nurse said it sounds like implantation bleeding- but with my history of course we need to consider the worst.

She did stress something interesting though. She says that she's been trying to inform people for the last 30 years that you only need a ride of about 66% in HCG at the start for it to be headed in the right direction. Has anyone heard this? She said people say it needs to double because it's easier to say/calculate than 66%.
