40+ days- any other long cycle ladies out there?!

Hi all,
I'm just wondering if there are any other ladies out there who have cycles which are 40 days or longer?
Mine seem to have settled at 43 days which just seems to make TTC even more frustrating. I'm also sick of reading how 28-35 days is classed as normal. I don't need constant reminders that 43 days probably isn't! Shock Is there anyone else around willing to share their experiences (frustrations!) Smile

I'm not currently ttc but have a super long and erratic cycle. Anywhere from 40-60 days is in my 'normal' range and sometimes it's longer than that.
I've not really any words of wisdom as far as tracking/monitoring but just wanted to let you know that conception isn't impossible - I have 3 kids to prove it!

It did take longer than I'd have liked a year longer in the case of number 3. We actually found that stopping 'trying' and just enjoying sex is what worked for us in the end.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply, it's so good to hear that someone else with a long cycle has successfully conceived, especially 3 children!
If you don't mind me asking, do you have a diagnosis which explains your long cycles or is it just one of those things?

Hi,

I am ttc 1 and have been for 2.5 years :( I have long cycles which have settled at 48 days recently, but some have been 60 days previously. I have PCOS and don't always ovulate which may explain it. I do feel like TTC is more tricky with longer cycles as we don't get as many chances to try! I'm still hopeful though, hope you are too :)
