Waiting to try, and cycle a mess from the pill

Just wondering if there are any other lurkers in the same boat as me, planning to TTC in December/January?

I came off the pill three months ago and have only had one pathetic AF in that time, so very glad I came off early but also pretty anxious at how messed up things are, 1st cycle was 39 days, this one is 40 and courting.

So who's with me? I can't be the only person on here who is actually hoping for AF!

I'm the same I am killed with pain the last few days I'm Cd 18 so shud of ovulate Wednesday and these pains are getting worse! And the same with the watery stuff

New girl, so glad you got your static smiley! Chuffed for you!! I remember last cycle running down the stairs with the stick to show DH when I got my static smiley. There was a look of sheer panic on his face at first as I think he thought it was another kind of stick i was showing him dtd again tonight for luck incase you've ov'd late! fx for you!!

Yvonne, I'm still drinking to be honest. I do like a wine at the weekend, or a cheeky cocktail! I dont drink excessively, tho may cut it out completely if continue to have no success.

Has anyone tried b6 supplements? I'm taking my usual folic acid as well as Agnus Castus now. Have done a bit of research and have seen that 100mg of b6 a day can help lengthen the luteal phase. Think I'm going to give it a shot seeing as i only had a 9-10 day luteal phase last cycle! Xx

I've been taking B6 cookie only 50mg a day as Holland and Barrett advised these rather than Agnus Cactus, I haven't really noticed any difference which is why I started the Agnus Cactus too!!!! I don't know about the different phases what is the luteal phase? FX it helps you x

I'm thinking the same with alcohol I will continue for now as it is only a small amount but will stop if I don't get a BFP in next few months.

My OPKs have arrived but I've decided not to use them this cycle, DP is away quite a bit with work so I will be gutted if a get a BFP while he isn't here and also as my cycles aren't regular so I could be testing for weeks x

Stopped the mini pill zelleta on 12th December. Had no bleed but pregnancy symptoms... took a test on 27th December- BFP -yay?-

Took one a few days later... negative. So prepared myself for a bleed, had spoken to midwife who booked me in anyway and said call if I bled.

Still no bleed, still only negative HPT? Also had a blood test on the 11th, apparently negative...

Yet midwife isn't happy to cancel my booking appointment on 28th as is sure I'm pregnant if I haven't bled and OPK gave me positives for the last 3 days...

Symptoms include nausea, excess saliva (I'm guessing due to nausea), darken nipples, dizziness, metallic taste in my mouth, tiredness, can't drink coffee (I'm a magazine editor and drinking coffee is my second profession haha)

It's all very odd right?! How long did it take you to bleed after stopping the mini pill? 😊😊

Chocoholic I stopped the mini pill cerezze on the 5th of December I had a withdrawal bleed the 6th and did stop spotting until I got my first monthly 2 weeks ago ? I'm not waiting to test next month but am getting serious cramps

But my daughter (first born) took over a year after stopping the combined pill!

Yes my doctor asked me to off of it and I felol really fast but we weren't trying tbh. Although this time on zeletta (baring in mind it's basically the same pill) I haven't had a bleed since Dec 12th. Not even a withdrawal! Really odd!

newgirl like you say your egg might not have popped yet, think it can take up to 48 hours after positive ppl. Have you done an ppl today? Sometimes I get a couple of days of positive before it starts to fade again.

Cookie I think I might try b6 next month, my luteal phase has only been 9-10 days too. Let me know how you get on. I'm still drinking too... If it's going to take me a year to get pregnant it could be a long year without wine! Haha.

Welcome chocoholic. Oh how confusing for you. What tests are you using? Have you been to see GP? They could do a couple of hcg blood tests a few days apart to see if your hcg is going up.

shankate are you temping or doing opks? Otherwise you might not have OVd yet. You don't always ovulate day 14 when you've stopped the pill. If you've got pain and watery discharge sounds like you are still building up to ovulation. I didn't ovulate until cycle day 88 my 1st month off pill!

No sign of OV over here. A bit of ewcm today, but had that every month from about cycle day 12 and still haven't OVd for weeks after so not holding my breath! Opks very negative!! Last few months all have had 2nd fainter lines but almost nothing on these and temps a bit more stable which I hope is a sign of hormones being more stable.

I had 3 faint positives (all with colour) before the 27th, one tesco, two superdrug, then the one with the faint but strongest positive was on 27th and superdrug

Since then I've used superdrug, cheapies and FRER all negative...

My doctor is supremely unconcerned and said that I should have 'protected' sex for 2 weeks then test again and we'll get an answer. Kind of defeats the object when TTC

However the midwife is going to see me if I haven't bled and do her own blood test I think...

It's just really frustrating!! I was also sent this article from a friend which didn't help!

Chocoholic. If the three tests were all in the time frame and with colour they were positive! I had three Evaps last month, the lines appeared after the 10 min time frame but did have colour, and got stronger as they dried (on different brands) but I definitely wasn't pregnant! False positives are very rare (or scientifically impossible, but do sometimes happen if test faulty or like me you dig them out of the bin, lol... Don't do that!).

I would ignore that article if I were you. Occasionally Some people are pregnant but don't ever put out enough hormone in their urine to get a positive test, but it should always show up in blood test. But in my experience most people with concealed pregnancies are in denial for one reason or another. Your GP doesn't sound particularly helpful, although they are right in that they can't do anything to change the outcome.

There are three possibilities, you were pregnant and sadly had a chemical pregnancy, in which case you should bleed when the hormone levels drop.

You are pregnant but not putting out enough hormone to show up, but it seems that you did put out enough at one point to get a positive.

You are not pregnant and the tests were faulty, in which case it can take months for 1st period to return after stopping pill.

Sorry you are going through the confusing and upsetting experience of not knowing. If your midwife doesn't do the blood test I would see a different GP and specifically ask for hcg blood test. X

I am waiting to see the midwife on 28th if I haven't bled before then, we shall see I guess!

Well it's not watery anymore it's more normal like thick creamy ?

Hi I hope you don't mind me joining your thread! We have been ttc since I took my last pill on Dec 13th. Had a withdrawal bleed the following week but nothing since. Been feeling sick and my boobs are big and sore but no signs of period so I took a test this morning but it was negative. Starting to get slight cramps this evening and I noticed some faint brown spotting so I think my period will be here soon and the other symptoms were just to do with that instead. I know it's early days but can't help feeling disappointed! Sorry, just wanted to vent and I don't want to keep going on to my husband! Thank you for any advice and support.

Its so hard not to be disappointed Alice if AF does arrive just look at it as a fresh cycle to TTC again and also it's a good sign your periods are getting back to normal after the pill! Are you going to use anything to help track OV such as temping or OPKs? X

Welcome Alice, sorry to hear AF is on her way, I know how you feel, last month was my first month trying and first bfn, I think it's a shock when we expect to spring back and conceive straight away.

Sunny I didn't bother doing any more OPK's after I got my static as I never usually get faint lines or fade in and out. Just been keeping an eye on my symptoms. Glad your temps have settled down, good sign that you're getting some EWCM DTD regularly in case Ov makes an appearance out of the blue!

Yvonne I'm the same, will have a few drinks for now but if I've not got anywhere in 6 months or so then I will give it the boot.

So Ov was confirmed yesterday with my temp shift this morning! Very annoyingly couldn't DTD last night as DH had been out drinking and it would have been a futile exercise if you catch my drift!! Hopefully yesterday's baby dancing will have been close enough. He was annoyed with himself when he realised he's messed up our chances (which I was too!!) and we had a cousin announce that she's pregnant yesterday, what's worse we're pretty sure it's and accidental pregnancy !! DH was more frustrated by this than me!
Of course I don't want him to blame himself if we get a bfn and I won't let him do that, but it was a bit of a reality check. So the long wait begins, 1DPO....at least 9 to go before I can test, keep everything crossed for me !

So of course I've been frantically googling odds of conceiving when you have sex the day before and not the day of ovulation...I found this which I thought was helpful and reassuring, there is only 2% in it between day before and day of!

Have had lower stiff back pain the last few days and tender breast? Also feeling very emotional like I want to cry and am having the weirdest dreams ? Cramps have calmed down and getting a creamy discharge more then usual ? My temp was but TTC my boyfriend hasn't got the energy to ejaculate cus he's sick right now so hope my chances arnt low now cus I will crack if I get another BFN as my sister in law had her 1st scan up on Facebook and iv never been as jealous and upset :(

Cd25 and no ovulation!!!!! Going to be another long cycle. Really peed off about it this evening.

Shan sore boobs is a good sign, have you been using OPK's to confirm ovulation? Did you say your temp was up or down?
Have another go at DTD tonight, obviously your chances will be significantly lessened if your OH didn't ejaculate. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm not using OPK using an app? And I'm getting really really warm at night can't settle to sleep without the window open with no covers on me? My temp is normal doh? See he has an ear ache and the past few hours we were giving it another go but thankfully he did twice 😅 I'm kinda looking at my discharge and it's now thick and creamy more than usual?
